China is the only team allowed to have more than 1 team competing from their country. They have a total of 2 from their mainland, and another if you count Chinese Taipei since it is not an independent nation. For a total of 3 teams from 1 country.

Doesn't matter, since the medals that Chinese Tapei wins are not counted towards Chinas medal count. Also, the political status of Taiwan/Chinese Taipei is very controversial. So you should be careful with saying "Chinese Taipei belongs to China". There are people who see that differently. ;)

Anyway: Hooray Mexico! What a great game! I'm really happy for Mexico to win the gold medal in football, since the national team always is on the edge of becoming a world-class team, but somehow they never make it all the way to the top. This gold medal should help the national team and I hope they can surprise us all at the next World Cup.

Actually, it does belong to China. They want to become independent, but they are not yet.

What surprises me though, is my post was more-so pointed towards Hong Kong rather than Chinese Taipei; in fact I even said "if you count." But hey, lets pick and choose what we read in a post.

Yeah, just ignore that I wrote "they don't count towards the Chinese medal count anyway", and please also ignore that Hong Kong is a special administrative region, complete with it's own legislation.

I am glad that the USA has the most Medals. Merica, hell yeah.

Yeah it's a pretty exciting match actually. Though at the moment it does seem like America is going to win. I doubt Spain can still close a six points gap in the last three minutes, but who knows..

Your high standards kind of make me sick, you couldn't coordinate your own head out of your ass yet you would criticize a marvelous performance by the UK's ceremony coordinators and directors. I for one, thought it was a wonderful performance and I enjoyed it more than the Chinese ceremonies mainly because I don't find uniformity as appealing as well flowing historical pieces (at least concerning the opening).
