A shame this was never continued. This is truly a classic from the Flash era. It would be nice to see this remastered with the bugs ironed out, as well as a second ending where Hilda is finally freed (or that might be a game all it's own).
Among my favorite aspects were the monster designs, particularly the tentacle giraffes, which were quite cute and unusual. And Hilda singing in a cage was quite symbolic. She was clearly more Thrashwood's trophy or pet rather than someone he loved (if he could be said to love anyone, which I doubt. In any case, the Count can go suck his sword).
Spoiler alert:
Once your beat the game the castle resets and our hero must save Hilda all over again. Wouldn't it be a nice twist that these four characters are simply stuck in Groundhog day. Percival himself said that the only real curse was Thrashwood's selfishness.
