This past month we updated blogs with a mobile-friendly text editor and added blog tags with auto-suggestion. We also updated the Art Portal upload form using the new text editor for commentary, allowing you to upload WIPs and alt images in the commentary space. Art also now has tag auto-suggestion and a new cropping tool that works well on mobile and for animated gifs. Trying blogging and sharing some of your art!
We also enjoyed a lot of great animation and games. Your votes are in and the Best of January have been determined!

The top ranked animation based on original material and winner of $250 is Starbarians. Congrats @HappyHarry!

Thank you everyone who participated in January! We were treated to new episodes of Salad Fingers, Starbarians and Madness, along with all the goodness that came from Pixel Day and the Global Game Jam. I want to call January a non-stop joy ride but there was some really sad news too; AngelXMikey passed away after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. We’ll keep celebrating his life here on NG though.
Pixel Day judging is wrapping up, expect those results next.
