A blob of goo, initially used to nourish artificial humans, has become sentient and risen up against its creator—the Despot, an evil AI and the unfortunate ruler of the world in the year 3000! The future is bleak, and humanity is beyond redemption, but at least you have the power to save yourself. This demake is a mini-version of our game, Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot which will be dropping on October 31, 2024.
TIPS BEFORE YOU START:
Your objective is to kill the required number of enemies displayed on the counter, then find the exit, which looks like a large metallic trapdoor on the floor. To complete the game, you’ll need to clear all levels, with the D’Spot waiting for you at the final one.
Controls: arrow keys to move; X, Z to aim; Space to pause. If manual aiming feels too difficult, you can enable auto-aim in the game menu.
Shops: you can only choose one upgrade in the shop. There are two types of shops: one offers active abilities, and the other provides passive upgrades.
Enemies sometimes drop DNA, which you can spend on permanent upgrades in the main menu.
KILL YOUR CAPTORS
Your goal is to escape from Despot's dystopian dungeon, mowing down enslaved humans and mutants while wielding powerful weapons and upgrades. A shotgun? A coingun? A celestial body? Anything goes as you rise against D'Spot! This is a roguelite, but with deckbuilding. Have fun!
AN APRIL FOOL’S JOKE TURNED INTO A FULL-FLEDGED GAME
What began as an April Fool's joke at Konfa Games has evolved into a full-fledged game set in the Despot's Universe (Despotism 3k, Despot's Game, Slime 3k). While the gameplay slightly differs from the main title, both focus on deck-building and abilities that you unlock between runs.
This game was made by a small team at Konfa Games:

Code and Design: @neworderseo
Music: @dogshroom
IT’S FREE
You can stream it, create TikToks, or even send it into space on a dusty Game Boy cartridge—do whatever you like. We hope you enjoy it! We’d love to hear your feedback, so feel free to drop a comment or rate it if you’d like—it really means a lot to us!

While the game is pretty fun, I have a few nitpicks about it. First off, when you get to the later waves and you have the orb thing leveled up to 3, the game basically just plays itself. Since there is such a stupid amount of enemies in the later waves, simply shoving yourself between a bunch of them with former upgrade kills a bunch of them instantly regaining your life back; making the game piss easy. Talking about piss easy, auto aim should not be an option at all. The aiming system is kinda tricky to learn at first, and that's what makes it fun. Having an option that just does it for you really ruins the core gameplay of the game. Another thing I noticed is that this game seems like it has more than 3 weapons to choose from, however they never appear? I'm not sure if that's a bug or there is some kind of secret way of unlocking them I really don't know. Finally, what does the cheat code even do? I tried the cheat code and it does nothing as far as I can tell.
Anyways the game was kinda fun ig
Not sure what that cheat code did or is it works
Hmm, this is a bit of a weird one!
It's like, on one hand, I think this game is a pretty neat recreation of how an early Survivors-esque game would work and feels quite authentic. But at the same time, that authenticity is a double-edged sword because, well, an early attempt at a Survivors-esque game would probably feel like this does, where it just doesn't quite land with me, feeling quite rough, janky and not as satisfying since the way these games work haven't been iterated upon yet, and the capabilities are also limited by the system. I guess take that as a strange compliment that, uh, you pulled it off?
I want to like it and think it's charming in some ways, but the core gameplay just didn't feel satisfying and addictive like I'd want, and it just felt awkward with weird hitboxes and confusing when I couldn't figure out the rules, like when I'd go to a shop to get a power-up or when I'd just be thrust into a new level. The sense of progression and enemy design felt really strange as well, with all sorts of crazy spikes and unfair starts.
I unequipped all three weapons in the decks menu thinking I was equipping them before I even started, and none of the in-game instructions or author comments explained why I wasn't attacking
