This is a small collab that my friend Joe and I started when I came back to Ohio for the holidays. It's nothing too special but hopefully it'll entertain you for a little bit. We tried to make it as balanced as possible but unfortunately, as you might guess, dice are completely random.

special thanks to Jason for providing the sweet title screen voice!1!!!

btw, for anyone curious, the enemies do NOT have increased odds of rolling high numbers. ever. all dice rolls come from the same random number generator.

So okay it's average

Nothing really special here, simple skill progression, fights weren't really a challenge, although I highly doubt the authors claims of not rigging the odds, even if just a little, as enemies rolling ties and higher numbers more often is not pure chance.

It's a fun and seemingly simple game, yet the game bugged or went crazy on me. Or maybe I just found a secret mana stone of doom. my mp bar suddenly shot out of the right side of the screen and gives me, what I've experienced of it so far, infinite mana. Oddly enough I had more fun after this occured...

Almost TOO random.

The concept was fun, and I did manage to win.

But once you burn all your mana, the game comes down to 100% pure luck.
Most the time the mana only lasts half or 1/3 of the battle.

Especially when the enemies start getting 3 and 4 die, with no mana left it's just shotting blindly with no skill involved.

I sort of feel like there needs to be some level of skill to make this game better.
I beat the game, but there were too many points where I was rolling ties and losses repeatedly with nothing to do.

The player lacks any real ability to control the outcome, unlike in other games where there's some form of strategy involved.

The second re-roll spell seemed somewhat useless, as the few times it actually happened, it never needed another re-roll.

In general the ability to re-roll was weak as the +1 and +2 usually trumped anything I could re-roll.

Too close for comfort...

Whew! I just made through it with only 1HP left... This has potential. Keep it up.
