Sonic Legacy Seeking Pencilers/Inkers/Colorists!

Hey there, Newgrounds!

My team and I are working on a long-term Sonic the Hedgehog comic series called Sonic Legacy! It's a reboot of the franchise, based mostly on the games but incorporates elements from every facet of the franchise, and has some original lore and story to it to tie everything together into one bundle!

We're currently seeking artists capable of drawing out comic pages as a pencils layer, people who can smooth out the artwork and do line work for inking, and colorists who can breathe life into the pages. With the amount of writing we have completed on our end, we've hit a slowdown in production because we don't have enough artists on the team to divide the work between, while allowing other artists to take breaks and work on their own personal hobbies.

As of this posting, we have 12 main issues released on our official website, with four of them dubbed here and on YouTube, and 3 side issues with another on the way. We're currently on a hiatus to rebuild a backlog of content, but if we can expand our team further to allow more flexibility among the artists, we could one day hit a better release schedule!

I should stress, as of right now any work done on Sonic Legacy is strictly volunteer, as we do not have a budget to support paying art bounties at this current time. It is a goal of ours to be able to do so one day. No one is expected to stick around for any long window of time after any sort of material is created, but we do try to build a more permanent team.

We're generally very lenient with production speed, especially if the material is farther from release compared to an issue next on the release order, as long as we're kept up to date on any sort of progress. We communicate and share progress updates via our project Discord, both open to the public, as well as for the staff.

If you are interested in joining the team, we do ask that you supply us with an audition piece, 2+ pages of either penciled/inked/colored pages, as long as they contain at least two panels to show understanding of panel layout, character dynamics, background usage, or lighting in the case of a coloring audition. Please be sure to post the auditions in the art-auditions-only channel within the server linked below, and we hope to see you there!

We are looking for a voice actor for an animation for 2024 Pico Day!

hello! Dear Newgrounds people.

Do you remember pico day? I guess I've always been lazy and never really participated.

 The reason I am writing this article is the same as the title. I want to make interactive animations about the plans and stories about 'gohtpunk', the villains who cause a disaster before it happens.

We need a lot of great voice actors there.

 There, there will be various stories that answer questions about the original 'picos' scool', including stories about the marijuana and guns that helped Pico!

Rather than such a cool and explosive style, I'd like to deal with themes that are cute, absurd, and funny on the outside, but also deal with heavy topics and good, unfortunate, delinquent kids! (It will be made up of the most unfortunate types of representatives that I personally encounter in real life, so you may not understand.)

So, I hope that this is not a response to terrorism and that you see it as a black comedy. If you feel uncomfortable, please consider it as a lack of skill on my part.

Looking for character artist for ARPG/survival sandbox game

We've been building a survival sandbox (similar to Starbound and Terraria) with ARPG elements (Diablo, Path of Exile, etc) game. Mostly at this time looking for an artist to help with:

Other art areas would not hurt either, of course. The team is very small, consisting of another artist working on environment assets and UI, and me (programming). The game has been in development for two months and is moving along at a pretty quick pace. Hi! I am available to collaborate in any area.

I mainly create electronic music, typical genres like DnB, Electro and stuff like that. i usually combine different genres and i also try to make most of my songs a little bit melodic, so i could say i'm into melodic bass music.

Although I haven't released any new projects yet, this time I thought I'd create a folder with a couple of slightly incomplete Projects, each with their dates and the program I used to develop them. (Google Drive Folder)

Currently, I work mainly with Ableton and secondarily with Caustic. I use Caustic as a simple but effective mobile application, which has what it takes to create early versions of songs or even complete songs.

The projects are very diverse and each one has varied completion dates.

A man whose job is to make chiptune (he has mental trauma) got a job (as a supervisor?) in the school cloakroom. And I decided to record everything on a webcam live (at the time of what was happening in 2006). And later I found out that the security guard of this school was a lousy guy who bullied the main character (a.k.a. the supervisor in the school cloakroom). On the first day of work, the security guard chatted about what happened before and who is doing what now.

On the second day, the guard verbally and slightly physically abused him (the camera was still recording), and ordered that if the main character did not come dressed as a woman, he would beat him.

On the third day, the main character came dressed as a woman, but was beaten by a guard.

On the fourth day, the main hero decided to return to his male attire, but was beaten quite well. And the guard ordered me to come tomorrow in a sexy female outfit. That evening, the main character made chiptune songs sad, and shared his suffering in the comments of the song (there is such an opportunity).

Fifth day. The hero suffers a fight, the guard beats him. But the main hero manages to grab him from behind and stop him. He strangles the guard and holds him for 20 seconds until he dies. he hangs the legs and arms (of the guard) upward with a thick rope from the chandelier, and hangs his head separately. The main character quit.

On the sixth day, nothing happens, the body of the guard hangs in the dark.

On the seventh day at 3:19 am, the corpse will fall from the chandelier. Scary.

• Rii Sports: Rii sports is basically just a pc port of wii sports using the decompilation, dolphin and a modern game engine like Unity or Godot, weve already made quite a bit of progress with this one, with more stuff (sports resort and wii fit support etc) potentially in the works, we need devs for this, anything from this you can use for ur own modding project

• Sonic Hybrid Ultimate: a project that combines the dead "Sonic Hybrid RSDK" hack with the very much alive "Sonic 3 AIR", basically sonic hybrid rsdk combined the mobile/origins/rsdk/retro engine versions of Sonic 1, 2 and CD into one game, Sonic 3 AIR is a fan remaster of sonic 3. i need help making a streamlined frontend/client for the project

• Corkscrew: a hand drawn sonic/pizza tower inspired 2d platformer with momentum physics, procedurally generated smooth levels, wacky character designs and silly bosses, Im in need of animators, musicians (anyone that can sound like sonic CD or Knuckles Chaotix preferably), devs (unity or gdevelop) and potentially an artist to touch up some of my older art.

• Time Turner comic: need some artists for a comic about a bunch of characters in an alternate universe that slowly gets more different than the original, and the characters start to realize it, the overall aesthetic is an odd combination of Cornish culture, Japanese culture and Futuristic societies. inspiration for this would be shows like TAWOG, XTALE, Eddsworld, Spooky Month and Batman Beyond.

• Suyu Emulator: Yes... im co-running THAT project, but we need some dev help to rewrite alot of the emulator to be more optimised and legal ig, C++ and C# people are preferred but arent a requirement.

• Great Plains: Open Source, Community developed, open world, 3d game made with c# and python, just need to get the basics of a minecraft/ark/palworld type game made, so then its worthy of a community willing to develop it
