At last, I present to you the final, full version of my game, "Street Fighter Legend of Ansatsuken".
Basically, it's a rpg game based on the story of Street Fighter alpha, which revolves around Ryu and Ken's youth.
That's right, in this game you'll play as both Ryu and Ken, the most popular heroes of Capcom's well known Street Figter saga.
The gameplay came out as a mix between Legend of Legaia and the SF fighting games.

For those who don't know, the first time I submitted this game in three parts, because its size was too big to fit in one single submission.

But, thanks to Tom Fulp, I can now submit the whole game, so that you can play it from the beginning to the end. That's right, the end.
Obviously, the final filesize is pretty big, so please have patience while it loads.

By the way, I removed part 2 from Newgrounds. Part 1, instead, is still online (only because it seems I can't remove it) but I renamed it "DEMO version".

I will mention one last thing: if you defeat Akuma, you get to fight the last, secret match and if you win, you can watch the secret ending.
Good luck with that fight, though, as Akuma is one pretty strong badass.

What else is there to say? Please play my game and review, I hope you'll like it! ^_^

A fine, different sort of game. This is my second playthrough after a couple of years. My biggest issue is your choice of text color versus text background. Black on nearly anything besides very light colors is a terrible choice. I have to put my eyes nearly to the screen just to read the text. Otherwise, a very innovative game.

Muja responds:

You're right, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to use blue boxes for the dialogues.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the game. This is also the perfect time, because right now I'm working on a new, original game settled in feudal Japan that will have a very similar battle system, but extended to party vs party battles.

It'll be titled "Grim Ronin" and I'm going to publish it here around March. Follow me on Newgrounds (or on my Facebook page, which is called "Interactales") to be informed when that happens - I'll publish a trailer in the next days.

Thank you for your review!

Shuriyuken!! This game is the bomb!! Great storyline with recrudescent yet original ideas!!!

Muja responds:

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it!
As I wrote to another user before, a "spiritual" sequel to this game is now under production, featuring original characters and a story settled in feudal japan, and an upgraded version of this turn-based, martial arts oriented battle system.
I estimate it'll be ready by March, but If you want to be the first one to know when this game will be online, follow me here on Newgrounds, or like my facebook page "Interactales".

If you liked this game, you'll probably love the new one... even without Street Fighter characters ;)

very good game, good work :) but short and confusing :(

Muja responds:

Lol, thanks, I guess, though it's disturbing that you found it confusing..!

The arrows wouldn't appear....

Muja responds:

The game is a bit old, but if I remember correctly, the arrows will appear only when you're *attaccking*.

When you're defending there are no arrows: you must look carefully at the enemy position, *guess* where he's going to attack you and then press the corresponding arrow key on your keyboard ("up" for high attacks, "right" for mid attacks and "down" for low attacks).

Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.
Unless you're playing on hard mode. That's tough.

Thank you for your review
