It's just the fucking internet, bush can shove it up his ass.
Frankly i won't be childish and threaten him, but I will say.
9/11 was a consipracy.

But judging from WillPostForFood's posts, it seems like he reported it out of spite. The "offender" probably didn't intend for this to happen. WillPostForFood did.

The names Food, WillPostForFood.

Honestly? The posts were harmless jokes.
In other words: no jokes about harming the president.
This thread seems pretty important! Especially since it adds to the amount of ways to get your account deleted. Why didn't you make it an "NG News" topic?

It'll be swell when they start making clauses to the Bill of Rights, Animal Farm style.

I still think you could have gone about it in a less cheeky way. Oh well, I'm over it.
Did you guys see the deleted scene from Borat when he and Azomot were pulled over by the Secret Service; only because they were driving around in an ice cream van with a film crew in DC?
Did any of you hear about the time Enimem was investigated because a song he wrote had a line that said "I don't rap for dead presidents.... I rap to see the president dead."?
SEEEEEERIOUS BUSINESS.

Do you actually think this came to his attention?

You don't really see the words "Bush" and "attention" in the same sentence.

Because he didn't do anyting wrong. The people he reported did something wrong. Something I have warned about many times over the years. Technically we (NG) should report any theats users make against the President. I'm not sure how that should be handled. However, if someone makes a threat, joke or not, people have the right (and some may feel morally obligated) to report it.
Again, the SS isn't spying on our forums, a user reported the users who made threats. Once a report is filed, the SS has to check into it.

It's one of them days
I'm the only pretty boy on NewGrounds!
I take it that making a flash about killing Bush is still allowed, right?
hmm... inspiration.

Four legs good, two legs bad!
That was an extremely good read, and it's still relevent.
Sheep are still sheep. :P

The point of your post was to mock the seriousness of what these people do. That alone is foolish, especially given the intelligent conversation in this thread.
I was simply wondering if you actually understood the general way the system works. My point is, I guess: If you're going to mock the seriousness of SS, at least do it in a way that makes sense.

They do. they're called the amendments to the Constitution. Lots of clauses in those.

True. We were told this about porn when I got to school here in South Carolina. I shit you not, we actually had a brief about how if someone even suspects that you've been surfing child porn, if they report it, it gets investigated (by the CIA, not the SS, but nonetheless). The government has to take a lot of things seriously, or else they may look stupid when so many clues were right there.
Wade, is there a way for you to know that this wasn't a hoax? I have received calls on my cell phone that come up as "restricted number" originating from inside a non-governmental organization...
Maybe you elaborated somewhere in the thread and I missed it, but how hard would it be for someone to find out your phone number, block caller ID, and conduct themselves as "Secret Service" or "Bill Gates' secretary" for that matter?
If it's not a legal issue one way or the other, just informing you that there was "suspicious activity" on your website, I guess it really wouldn't matter who called -- I would just be pretty skeptical over the phone, personally.

"i don't like the president" =/ "i will kill the president"

HAHA ME TOO.
AUAUAHGJG
Bed ghet. NIGHT ALL I HATE YOU IDIOTS. <3
You're seriously telling me that the Star Syndicate will get off their ass and come to my house and question me? Seems like more effort then they would be willing to spend.
In all seriousness, they probably get so touchy about it because he's a president that isn't quite popular among the nation, and one that they might expect to be threatened by the people. It certainly is odd how serious they take internet comments so seriously though over a few bad jokes. You don't see me press charges every time someone makes a life threat on the board, or insinuates towards an action of rape.
Government eh? What can you do..?
skittles

I can understand that, but my issue is that he reported them not because he felt morally obligated, but because he did it out of spite. I guess I'm looking too much into intentions, rather than the actions.
Wade, I'm curious; what was said exactly?

But it's much easier and he wont protest with frustratingly stupid rebuttals, so I guess it's sound advice.

Seeing as you typed that whole damn thing, I can't call you a lier. Then again, I'm not surprised about all this.
Shit.
Well this shows how important Newgrounds is.
This post will actually appear at the bottom of this page.
You know who I'd really like to assassinate right now? George W. Bush, the current president of the United States.
