Wow this stuff is pretty amazing. I would like to see more city scapes, maybe one in 3d.
Fuck it all, you bastards.

You have a point, sir. I am spending a lot of time on space ships... perhaps I should take a request... anyone have any suggestions?
Been too long since I visited your theard. Gotta admit, you can draw a spaceship quite well, but maybe too much (like I am the one to say "you draw that stuff too much" :P ). Can't think of anything of any purpouse for a request, though :/
Sure, we all share one thing. We will all die sooner or later. Thank god. My art thread, starting from pg 18 See all my crap in larger, smexier images! (DeviantArt)

I have been patiently waiting for more Windclaw art. Would it be too much to ask that you draw some more of the Windclaw?

More on that tomorrow... sorry, I have to update with one last space craft scene. I was working on this one already.
Today is a firefight:

Bah, who needs friends & allies when you have a kick ass suit like that? :P I like the nice design it has, like a... hm, combination of heavy armor & mobility.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye for your series...

Thank you. I am eager to see what you produce.

Right, here's page 23 for the web series... the beginning can be found here...
Or if you want to read them all together... I recommend going here...
Anywho: page 23:

I'd agree about getting rid of the space-ship fetishes they're nice and well made but get a bit repetitive to people who aren't into star trek and that sort
Really nice stuff, as i say - the cartoons are far more impressive to me than the 3d modelling things but it is all impressive - just stick away from robots and space and futuristic things instead and as some up said, a cityscape would be awesome, even a futuristic one...

Your building up your skill in the program you are not wasting time on it you are just getting very good at the moment. Doing space ships and my opinion there not terrible flicking through the thread you are getting better and better. So if you think you are spending alot of time on space ships then change, but I think you should stick to building your skills up by drawing.

Thanks for the support and advice, and here's another drawn piece (featuring a city in the background), I figured I had to try a daytime shot at some point...
This one is titled "Lost and Confused"

Here's another one, a redesign of a villain that will appear in the comic known as "The Darkling."
Hope you enjoy!

Hmmm... I'm not sure what those black spots were... Perhaps something to do with the fill command or something...
Anywho, here's a patched version:

Looks pretty nasty! As in a good way. And nicely done shading & highlighting. And nice work with the background too, with reflections & everything! The, hm, tailblade bothers me. Compared to the rest of the character, the blade looks awfully simple & lightly shaded.

I like your new stuff much more than your old stuff. You are significantly better now.

Yar, I've been learning new tricks and I'll soon be applying them toward the story again.
For now, here's a character that will be introduced in the series: Lisa Sanders

I've taken a request to model a 3d dragon... problem is I have yet to model any living (organic) thing in 3d yet, so it's challenging for me to say the least.
I'll show you what I have so far, and hoping for tips from other 3d modellers out there. Thanks!

Blarg... space battle!
Posted at: 2/17/09 10:57 AM
I just noticed that there is another black spot on the character's chest.
Posted at: 2/19/09 05:42 AM
Whoa, that's a good spot... (ha ha, spot).
Anywho, no space ships this time (thankfully!)
Posted at: 2/19/09 06:27 AM
Ah, gotta love combat scenes, looks very nice!
The only thing that bothers me is the tail... I think it could be more wider at the beginning, and in your case it even seems to become wider in the middle, which picks my eye a bit :P
And I'm still not sure about his tailblade, it's like it doesn't quite belong...
Other than that, it's a very solid picture.

Is the enemy the same character as the one you posted on 2/5/09 and 2/6/09? In the first pic, there were brown spots, but in the new one the spots glow bright green. Also, the blades on the arms and tail are different.

It is in fact the same fellow, but I'm still deciding on the minor stuff about him.
I toyed with the idea that the "spots" shift color depending on the fellow's activity. I think it would be better and easier if he just kept to one color though.
The blades on the arms and tail are also different. I think Fatcheos has a point in that the tail blade just doesn't belong.

I made another cover, I figured the other one looked rather 3rd or 4th issue and that this one would be better for a first issue.
Posted at: 2/23/09 09:46 PM
I like the cover, but I want to see more of the story. Enough with the appetizers, I'm ready for the main course!

LOOONG time not posting in the Art Forum. I put a piece up in the Art Portal but for some reason it's not showing up in either it's intended category or in the scouting zone... So I guess it was a minor glitch that hid my upload. So I'll put it here for now. Enjoy!
