Looking good! Maybe it'd be nice to have everything very dark, except for the radioactive thing on her breasts.

How does the rough shading look? Twenty+ hours in. :)

I skipped right to dessert and started working on the logo. Inspired by the version that's in the 1981 cartoon. I know that gradient has been done to death, but I guess my goal is be a little cliche in that I'm going back to the 80s for inspiration

Which is why the guns look so dinky and un-bad-ass. I needs to think.

Im almost 15 years old and I would like to participate and have a chance to win something in the competition though the chance might be slight because there are some very cool artists here but still..
So could I just get permition from a parent for.... w/e the hell I need for this?

well if you actually did read just a few pages you would know it had to do with the magazines as prizes.
If you win, you'd get all the prizes except the HeavyMetal magazines.

One of my favourite, not sure about the background being suitable for the cover of a magazine, it's too detailed, where would the barcode go etc? But yes, one of the best *art* entries!

So basically, I would just go with the flow if you are interested in competing. And it really is worth investing a little time into reading the rest of the discussion pages as there could be useful information in there that you could use. Good luck!

It's nice, just a bit too bright.

The logo on TransforWhore's final irritates me. He should have just traced it, instead of just copying a low-res version.

Well here is a zoomed in slice of my cover so far. Yes I know she is naked with shoes, i'll dress her when I'm done her head.... yes she is headless.

Not my regular thing, but I'll try it anyways. Yes, I realize the feathers look bad, and it's a bit cartoony right now, but I will be trying the fancy pants coloring once everything is actually drawn. Any critique is welcome.

the stomach mucles on both are still very akward, you should try and reference those, or dont add them if they arent on photo you are drawing over.

ya ThinkBox, I agree with MindChamber, I don't buy the abs. Maybe if you smoothed the shading out a bit. Or even you could try addressing the plain area around the abs as well, that may help.

On a positive note, I think her gun will be bad ass when its complete

abs to close together to defined not proportioned correctly ? what ya guy think? or is this better?

So I finally got a day off from work and was able to really sit down to work on this thing. The progress you see is the result of about 7 hours of work.

Got rid of the guns as I realize in the 80's artists were drawing guns of a size that just seems tiny by todays standards of fantasy. Been kicking around a <cough>lightsaber<endcough> idea.

well on you thirteen-spades yours is the 2nd best so far i've seen , tho you gotta refine and refine like
mad to make it all flow nicely....your colors are spot on and is very realistic.. just polish it up really nicely.

as for the text make it something half bright meshing with the fumes back there , green would be nice

Fuck the logo, you could make it neon yellow and that would still look badass.
