Hey, great game! Although once I reached the end I couldn't see anything. Because I immediately pressed 'X'. I had to go through the whole game again, but it made it even more fun. I love AHiT, so I loved this game!

platformalist responds:

Hi Snatched!

I'm so glad that you had a fun time! I also love AHiT (so much that I've played through it around 5 times), so I'm glad you could enjoy this little tribute. :)

Thanks for playing! :)

Pretty nice game, though, as some people pointed out, the collision is a bit wonky, and the hook is kinda glitchy, other than that, I had fun. Great job!

platformalist responds:

Thanks for playing tg55! Glad you had fun. :)

I really like it. The music is very good and the gameplay is excellent. The only problem I have is with the collision. It's a little bit wonky. I'm assuming your checking if there is ground below the position of the player's sprite and then 8 pixels next to the position of the player's sprite. Or are you doing something differently?

platformalist responds:

HI Noahdabest! Yeah, that's how I'm checking collision. In hindsight, I should have given the player a few safety frames at the edges of cliffs, as falling immediately at the edge of a cliff can make the collision feel really wonky. As well, I should have checked collision with the ash clouds using a radius measurement instead of square hitboxes. Oh well, live and learn! Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback. :)

The controls... the movements... the delays... pfffffff. It's just not very fun to play.

platformalist responds:

Hi TerrierParty! Sorry to hear you didn't like the game, but thanks for giving it a try anyway. :)

Jump controls could be more receptive, and maybe a grace period when dying when the controls are set to a neutral state so you don't continually dive into the ash on certain screens.

platformalist responds:

Thanks for playing, Nohbdy-1715! You're right about the grace period - I'll remember that for future games. I really appreciate the feedback! :)
