that one dead bird online mystery is nothing compared to this
December 25th, 2020:
Awake at 12am and looked on here to see so many messages I missed having not been here for a long time.
I was so snarky on here, I noticed. I think I thought I had to prove something when there was big talk about girls making bad games on here. I should have just had fun, but I think I was in a terrible mindset. I'm glad I got to make this game before I gave up. It clearly affected some people, and I'm proud of that. THANK YOU FOR TRYING MY GAMES AT ALL and giving them any attention.
If you liked this game you should watch the short film it inspired (I found out before quarantine, and was floored; he's a cool person) The Red Paint by Preston Standiferd
SIDE NOTE: 2003. Flashlight pointer. I didn't see it anywhere else. Shattered Memories came around later.... I'm just saying. ;)
**********Personal note************
Hey, look at that...Females DO make flash games... BWA HA HA HA HA!!!
IMPORTANT!!! - Anyone who is really stumped on this game, just click the option to "(Read More)" of this comment, and look at the end.
Also, it really is helpful to read the explanation at the end of the game. And if you didn't look at the credits, the painting in the hallway was Jan Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring", a painting I have been interested in before the book by Tracy Chavalier came out, which lead to a movie that came out last year by the same name. The second painting in the movie is supposedly a haunted painting in real life, and if you do a search for "Haunted Painting" you'll most likely come across it pretty quickly. The explanation the painter gave for the painting is what I based this game on to begin with. (I commented on most of that in the credits, but some people didn't bother looking)
*****HOW TO UNLOCK "THAT DAMN DOOR"****
There is a note on a piece of article underneath the rightmost couch cushion.
It says "between 1+1", which is supposed to mean between 1 & 1 on the clock in the kitchen. In other words, click in between the ones on the number eleven on the clock. You'll get it from there...

This game was alright. I really appreciated the attention to details and the lore that was involved, but I wish there was more than just 3-4 explorable areas and I think the ending could've been done much better, but overall it was interesting and I enjoyed it.
