Man your the one not reading the posts. The script you put up makes objects invisible -- and it doesnt have an X dependant, so even if u just walk down the scene half the trees would freakin' dissapear!
And I told you guys I the timeline thing. Assume this is in a Movieclip:
Onclipevent(enterframe){
_root.gotoAndPlay("scene 1", 1)
}
That should work right? well it doesnt. Try it. Dont put it in a button cuz im sure buttons work. I just cant the the MC's to do it. :(

I worked on these for like a minute. They look good by themselves but not that great together.

yeah rage. they are good, u just got to make them loop... How you do that is u do the edges first and make the smyetrical.
heres a quick tute on how to do it. took me like one minute.

oh yeah, i forgot that. in a previous post, i said have an identical image of the tree on a layer underneath the player to give the impression that they are in front of it, then that script makes the tree on top of the player appear when they are above it, which gives the impression that they have just walked behind the tree.
and the script goes in the movieclip of each tree, replace where it says tree with 'this' adn it should be ok....

i think theres a function in photoshop for making them tile. so you could do them there, and then trace them in flash

This is just a tought, but if the game is from bird view, with almost 2d, it would be nice, that when u go to a shop for example, then it would be like 1st person, and there would be this shopkeeper, and u could ask questions from him. Like in fallout 2 some people's face come big, and they have a voice when they talk to you.
Tell something, i could maybe do some drawing, i ain't a master of it, i do improve guickly.
Ps. I WRITE bad english, but still, i have a mic if you post the lines... ;)
