Im in New Zealand and I hate President Bush for all his crap decisions, wouldn't go as far as assassination but wouldn't mind it either, the American people now know that he is extremely incompetent so its just better to wait until the next election and boot him out, hopefully they will get a good president that might actually do good things.

If a threat which was made here was actually carried out the government would be lambasted over their inaction.
Why do they look into 13 year old kids BBS postings about killing Bush? Because if they shrugged it off and something actually happened, there would be hell to pay.
Example- Jeff Weise. His flash Target Practiced, well most people just brushed it off as another kid just making a violent flash, untill one day he carried out exactly what he did in his flash movie.
One day a kid will make a flash, drawing or post something about killing the President, but then he will actually try and act out on that. BEsides there are a lot of adults on NG BBS, how is the SS supopsed to know. Half the 13 year olds on this website have 86 years old in their profiles.

1) Seeing as how many of the people that try to assassinate Presidents suffer from extreme mental problems, I don't think it's implausible for them to tell others about it before trying it. They often aren't thinking rationally in the first place.
