Yeah right these days I see only 5 on the front page because they just look like shit, And yes the ones that look like shit are shit most of the time.

I have very high demands for movies, and 2007 wasn't the best year for good movies.

And I also miss that nowadays, everyone has a giant-ass post count of like 5000 posts. Back in 2003, the top 50 started out at like 2000 or something and 5000 was a big deal and I think only 3-4 users had over 10k ( shrapnel, shadow, olskoo... some dudes ).

I remember when 10k was a huge deal. People went nuts over it. But now we got people who post about 4,000-5,000 a year. Once again, people need to lurk and get familiar with the forum instead of diving right into posting.

I do really miss how NG used to be. It was an amazing place to speak your thought and opinions, while having fun and watching some flashes. For me, the beginning of the end was the new header. I remember staying up for that all night. I thought it was awesome at the time, but looking back it will never bee as good as the old one. Now the forum is entirely made up by newbies, with just the occasional regular,I miss it so bad it hurts sometimes

The growth and speed of the forum can be blamed for that. Back in the era pox describes I imagine the place moved much much slower (though still relatively fast, compared to other sites/forums), so after a while you sort of HAD to lurk, otherwise you'd just be this annoying person who posted constantly.

Now with the speed we have today you can at times post back-to-back and still not be flooding.

What happenned? We spent too much time ogling the cool shit we had, and not enough making more. Eventually, the taking of everything for granted caught up to us...

I also remember when topics like this were seen as jokes, and we could have a good laugh. But no all the noobs called the topic starter a troll telling him to stfu, thus runing the joke.
