Hm - why not just making it totally random and choosing the pairings live in a lottery kind of show? 64 names in a glass container with 64 intransparent plastic-globes within. An attractive person could draw the pairings directly - accompanied by drum-rolls. Of course we would need a commentator / moderator who makes the whole procedure exciting :D
I nominate Tom Fulp to play the role of an attractive person. This is obviously a role for which great study is required!
