I think it was a pre-NCR occupation thing. The NCR had the rangers that we all know and love from Fallout 2, then when the NCR was planning to move into the Mojave they sent out rangers who became Desert Rangers. Then when the NCR came in to occupy the Mojave the Desert Rangers just became regular NCR rangers again.

That or Desert Rangers refer to the Veteran rangers with the bad-ass trench coat you see on the cover.

Finally got some Ranger Combat Armor, shit takes way to long to get, you have to finish a faction quest before Vet Rangers appear, then it's a quick snipe to the head and nobody's the wiser.

Or should I say robot. yes, vendortron the robot at the gun runners shop is unkillable for two reasons, 1: you cant reach him in anyway with out using no collidea and 2: even when using no collide you can shoot all you want, he has no health

You know I haven't been on NG in over a week because of this game. I just beat it yesterday, and now I'm playing it again. I supported Mr. House then realized that was fucking retarded. I was going to be an evil tyrant this second playthrough, but I can't do it, I always play good. Epic game.

So, in a nutshell the Desert Rangers and NCR Rangers both being known as Rangers was a coincidence, and after their integration into the NCR the Desert Rangers became the Elite Corps of the military? Makes sense, thanks.

I accidentally saved over my brother's playthrough in Vault 11, which had a level 18 character and 21 hours worth of gameplay.

Now I feel like a complete asshat.

Lol, very smooth, I'm glad I don't have to share my 360, me and my brothers always had a system when we played Fallout on computer, one would have a couple saves on the top, another would have saves on the bottom, and I'd be in the middle. Plus we were able to label them.

Just started playing about an hour ago- So far, its awesome :D On that part when you've got to kill the Nightkins in the basement, pretty difficult with the shitty weapons I have.

This is a New Vegas thread, but I'll bite. The best option is to fight it (the canon choice). Since Super Mutants are sterile, the Master's plan is doomed for failure from the start (you can even find evidence for that and bring it to the Master), so humanity's best bet is to retain their humanity.

I know it's a new vegas thread, just trying to bring back the feel of FO1 and 2 like the game tried to do. Also, I forgot to research the fact that they're sterile.

Sorry, wasn't trying to sound like an ass. At any rate, I was introduced to the series by Fallout 3 and have yet to play 1 & 2 so I'm just telling what I heard from a friend.

Pretty sure you do, I gave Boone a sniper rifle and the Anti-material rifle and he expends ammo. One thing I don't like is how I put a suppressor on the sniper rifle and it still goes boom.

I was gonna do that quest, bring Cass to Van Graff, but then I read on the wiki that Cass is John Cassidy's daughter, from fallout 2. I somehow hadn't made that connection yet because I am retarded.

But anyway, John Cassidy was one of my favorite NPCs in Fallout 2. He could eff shiz up with a combat shot gun. I can't kill his daughter.
