On Friday I will be making the Pumpkin Carving contest thread. Winners will receive swag bags from the Tokyo Game Show! If you carve a pumpkin this year, carve it with a Newgrounds theme (any characters from around the site) and take several pictures. Once I make the post on Friday, you'll have the weekend to submit your pictures!
Over the course of the 2008 Treasure Hunt, a lot of submissions came up that were part of larger series. I decided to break them out into their own post about undiscovered series that don't have their own pages. There are currently over 120 series pages in existence. Many of the below submissions don't have a page because there aren't enough episodes yet, while others don't have a page because there are too many to manage. Some, however, may eventually get a page. Try to watch them all and let me know what your favorites are! Also feel free to recommend other overlooked series.
One of the most linked series in the treasure hunt was Tywo At Large:
-

Another series brought up in the treasure hunt was DevilSlayer by YungJazz. I could have sworn I had front paged episode of DS, but looking back I don't think any of them were, or at least not for more than a day.

I can't believe I missed the Michelle & Feo Pilot by Andrew Kauervane, creator of the My God, Robots! series:
Andrew was a winner in the 2007 Halloween contest and has followed up with a spooky new movie this year. Here are both of them:

Unsuitable Submission
This submission contains age-rated material and requires an account to view.
Oxmar the Elephant has only been around for two episodes, but it's a recent series so hopefully there's more to come!
-
Oxmar Episode 1
by DitzoRidderOxmar is an elephant who talks too much. -
Oxmar Episode 2

The JojoVill series by Thornberry has been brought up in previous years during the Treasure Hunt. The J-Pop intro is misleading, there's actually stories and dialogue beyond it.
The Rich Young Doctor series only existed for two episodes but has also come up two years in a row:

Purgatory Pizza comes to us from the creators of Olympus Burger.
Olympus Burger is a series they are pitching to networks:

Kirbopher's TTA series has 73 episodes, so I'll just link to one:
On the Bridge is another massive series, with over 45 episodes. Here is just one example:
The Duders series also has a lot of episodes, and I am aware that I overlook it a lot and that does make me feel guilty.
And go watch Fitch and Jove while you're at it, they have like seven episodes:
The Twin Trash series by the Vad Flaaten brothers is also worth a looksee!
-
TT: 002 Runner I
by MarcyVFAn awesome stop-motion movie about the running guy who is awesome. And jumpy. -
TT: 003 Ten Ways Pack 01
by TommyVFCan you imagine ten ways to die because of a yo-yo or a computer? Well, we can!
The Neenja series has been front paged a lot, but never quite reached a series page. The animation is amazing, though; check it out!
GunChest is an up-and-comer that will likely get a series page in the near future:
The DOMOFlashVideos series is also a candidate for a series page, although the entire account is dedicated to the series, which makes me feel like this page is good enough. It's still nice to be officially acknowledged, though.
That's all I've gathered this time around! My final Treasure Hunt 2008 post will revolve around recognized artists with overlooked submissions. It won't be nearly as thorough as it should be, but I'll see what I can put together. I'll be making that post next week, after the pumpkin carving contest. Moving forward, I am planning to make the Treasure Hunt a QUARTERLY event, focusing only on submissions from each three month period. Over the next three months, try to find as many obscure games and movies as possible and add them to your favorites.
The front page alone isn't enough space to highlight every great submission that passes through the site. Expanding the front page showcase box doesn't help things, because visitors reach a point where their eyes glaze over. The entire community needs to make a larger effort to discover and share gems on a regular basis. I am personally attempting to include one gem in every post I make, check out some of my recent forum posts for examples. I would love to see more users do this sort of thing, simply paste the submission URL by itself on a line at the end of your post. The same way people define themselves by what music and movies they like, you can define yourself by what little gems you uncover.
Also, GO PHILLIES! I don't like baseball but I'm still excited.
