I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but what about calling the award a Groundy.

And the Groundy goes to.... kinda has a nice ring to it.

really kool trophie, but i woulda thought being newgrounds and all, theres not enough cock jokes. But i guess for it to be serious it had to be the tank. A good name would be the golden tank award.

They look amazing! I'm gonna start working on some movies so I could get one!

I was just thinking. Maybe you can have all of the categories you want, but just the five categories you mentioned get trophies. Maybe the winners in other categories can get a certificate of a plaque, or maybe an icon attached with their flash page that says they won a yearly award.

I feel that should be the way with all awards shows too. I think its lamesauce that someone can win a best picture Oscar (the most prestigious honor), yet someone can win the exact same trophy for something like best live action-short. It's like a reward for being half-assed.

I think this is an AWESOME idea.

Great ideas I love that. Hopefully Tom sees your post.

Also, there should be a lifetime achievement award. There are a lot of great artists who aren't making videos anymore. It would be good to recognize them.

Cool idea, nice trophys though. But really, good idea, hopefully like you said will in the future give some imsperation to those artists who stopped and don't really see any point in animating. Well the point being win a bronze trophy. Hope to see the winners in January.

2) Should the song of the year be required to be featured in a game or movie (like the Oscars)? This would encourage more collaboration on big projects.

Also when a game or a flash work gets this trophy...You'll need to put an Icon award on the submission pages like the Weekly Top, Daily Top, but it would be the Game of the Year of 2007 or something.

FYI 'Little Willie' was the tittle given to the first tank. So here's my three reasons for the name...
1. NG is a leader of its kind - 'Little Willie' was the first tank. Leader=First
2. The NG logo is a TANK - 'Little Willie' was a tank. Logo=tank, 'Little Willie'=Tank
3. NG is funny and serious, 'Little Willie' funny name with a serious punch.

You should also have a couple of Hall of Fame inductees. You know for people that are awesome and have contributed a lot to the site... good or bad.
