You're knocking on Luis for making collabs but.... what are dailytoons? Oh, they're collabs. Luis' collabs exist to satisfy himself, while SS collabs exist purely for the greater good of Newgrounds? Ok.

I don't know much about the SS. I don't pay attention to you guys. I've seen a few funny things, and I've seen a lot of spam. I wouldn't say driving away artists like logo and illwillpress are for the greater good of Newgrounds. I don't like their stuff, and I might find parodies funny, but whether they're here or not it doesn't make much difference. NG is about GOOD content, GOOD people are still going to submit GOOD content whether the star syndicate has saved the day or not.

Like I said, I don't know much about you guys. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've done some great work for NG, all behind the scenes, that has gone completely 'unrewarded.' But there has still been the spam shit too, so I don't see why that should completely be negated.

Luis:
-started collabs here
-produces excellent flash
-has brought together many artists in his collabs
-has organized ng meetups
-has produced and ran the sketchbook tour for two years
-mods the flash forum
-is involved in other community-related things, such as the munny paintings
-HASN'T spammed the portal

this argument is getting pretty gay. I could write a huge post, too now. But that wouldn't change the opinion of anyone, just like your or other posts don't change my opinion.

Luis has done more than just make cartoons and collaborations, He first off changed the face of collaboration, and now he was trying to bring together multiple artists (flash and non flash) to submit stuff to newgrounds ( the NG sketchbook tour ). He did all of those with no expectations of getting anything in return.

I will agree that F0d did get the SS together to do stuff, but that is one group of people, no everybody likes the SS, and not everybody likes what Luis does, but in the end I believe Luis has more of a widespread of achievements, and he does it all with a mouse. :D <3 luis ROFL

If the leadership award were to go to f0d, then we're giving the leadership award to someone who promotes spam, if we have a leader who promotes spam, this site will go down. Now honestly, anyone saying "Don't judge the SS on their spam shit, judge them on the good" go fuck yourself. You's set up your reputation, don't complain when it bites you in the ass. If f0d was a good leader, he'd be discouraging spam and mass voting rather than promoting it.

I also vote for Luis, 3/4 of you wouldn't know the amount of effort he puts in to the flash forum and newgrounds as a whole. Sketchbook tours, munny competitions, unique collabs, moderates the flash forum, arranges meetups and helps out where help is needed. I don't think there's a better leader on Newgrounds that isn't an admin.

The fact that F0d could round up those same guys who "spam" (spam aint even really an appropriate word for a lot of the things submitted) and make those lazy asses come together and actually make something like they did is a testiment to his leadership.

This was really inspirational. Maybe this is just the diehard NG fan in me, but I totally agree.

At the same time, I'd argue that in this smaller, niche sort of community you've developed, true art, unfettered by the snobbery or commercialism that plagues most areas of entertainment these days, can spring forth and be judged by a community rather than a select group of individuals. It drives us all toward a standard and a quality that goes beyond money. People submit here purely for the satisfaction of hearing a comunity's response, and that's a really beautiful thing.

I am sick and tired of people worshiping Adam Philips just because he is a very good animator. Im not taking that away from him as he does deserve to be in the top 5 flashes on Newgrounds but graphics aren't everything.

If so, I think Luis is a pretty definite choice for the Leadership Award, with several collabs, the Sketchbook tour, and tons of other projects.

Best Game:
Graphics: Dark Cut 2 because it's VERY realistic, considering it's done only in Photoshop, or so the
author says, I think.
Programming: Yeah, I'm not sure... Momentum Missile Mayhem has some nice physics, and Portal:
The Flash Version is very smooth yet has little glitches.
Best Audio: Yeah, this is gonna be hard. Maybe have different awards for different categories?

yea dont judge me by how i act on these forums, i used to be a BBS faggot so i make up for it by writing "you're all faggots" on here once a week.

that doesnt mean i promote spam though. i honestly put a lot of hard work into making dailytoons pretty good quality this season, and purposely differentiating them from the usual dogshit that crews like the KK and their spinoffs spew out. the goal was to use as little avitar animation as possible, and this gave artists a lot more freedom. some great underappreciated avant garde type animators like newshape and notorious contributed this season.

but none of you would give em a chance except tom, you usually just generalized them as spam. i dont know how you can accuse us of mass voting, i mean think about it... after the time limit voting system got scrapped, stat whores (who are now the only people who vote on under judgment shit) could vote 5 on dailytoons every day without watching them. as a result, every dailytoon passed with around a 3.2, which pissed off people like you if you felt the flash was bad and pissed off people like us if we felt the flash was good (like in the case of 400).

each dailytoon ended up with around 400 views, 250 of which weren't so much views as they were page hits from stat whores. this is demoralizing if you're an animator trying to make a name for yourself. the current judgment system is pretty much a lose-lose situation for both casual viewers and up and coming artists. the only winner is the obsessive stat whore loser, making their worthless userpages prettier with shiny badges and showing it off to their Wi/Ht forum friends.

anyways yeah im not gonna knock luis he's a better animator than i and probly would have more use for that trophy.
