What about simply naming them the newgrounds? This years winner of the best artist newgrounds is,....

Seems so simple, yet very effective in my eyes.

As for that statement you made earlier Tom, about flash needing the next sonic or mario, that's pretty much my current dream. Flash needs more larger scale projects rather then creative games that last 5 minutes. Flash isn't limited to that, "New Super Mario Bros' could have been done in flash, it would have been a lot of work but it's possible. That's my ultimate goal, I've been inspired to hear you speak exactly what it is I've wanted to do for years.

Also the idea of giving an award to the most progressing author is a very good idea. Maybe an auther who gets his or her game up to the top 50 and nobody had any idea who they are.

Well, a few ideas for names (probably already said):

The Picos
The Tankmen
The Tankies
The Flashies
The Cocks/Penises/Dicks (I put this last because I didn't think you would want to call them that)

I can't wait until the voting begins, and the awards are given out!

Maybe there should be an artist of the year, who may not submit much flash but is exceptional in making art pictures like in the art forum or something.

How about we call them, "The Blammies" since they desevre to blam flashes they do not find good enough.

Oh yes:

1. Movie of the Year: Metropolis Circuit; Rtil. The beginning of a very original and promising series. I definitely look forward to more of this great series.
2. Game of the Year - Programming: Portal: The Flash Version. A highly extensive and fun game, to some as fun as the original computer game.
3. Game of the Year - Art: Buzzwerd, with his great art on a number of creative games throughout the year. Can't name a specific game, because the art is great in all of his.
4. Song of the Year (from Audio Portal): -TT- In Your Face. A very awesome song used in a ton of flash submissions.
5. Leadership Award: Luis, for being a great Mod, putting together great collabs, organizing fun projects(Sketchbook Tour, Munny Project) and bringing together the Newgrounds community with meetups in London, Toronto and other places. A truly great guy.

Also, maybe you should just call it the Tank Award. Can't get better than that...

Once the nominees are announced, how are the voters for the award wil be decided?

Awesome trophies. And I'm curious to when MindChamber held an emmy. I held a Grammy once, but that is no where near as epic.

now to answer some questions...

1. As for a name for it, I'd call it the "Tankmen" award, simple, easy to remember, and the person can say "i am a tankman :D" when they are holding that beast of a trophy lol.

2. Restricting the music to only the entries that have been used in movies and games on here would be unfair, as I have heard plenty of amazing songs that have not been in one single game at all.

3. Wow, hmm, i only have an idea for movie of the year, and its a hard one lol
Movie of the Year: Sonic: Nazo Unleashed pt.3 by Chakra-x. it was amazingly well done, and the fact that the creator used only voice clips for the sonic cast, only altering them slightly, is amazing all on its own!
