This is a ng contest .. of course you can use ng related characters. i was more commenting on people referencing things like Master Chief and other commercial properties.

There was some people asking what paint i used for the munny i made last month..

I figured id post pics.

In regards to paint, im comfortable with acrylic paint so thats what i used.

Liquitex has a semi gloss finish its a better quality paint. You can find it at the art store.

The cheap paint on the right, has flatter finish and takes alot more coats to get a solid color.. it scratches easy. It can be found at a
The advantage of the cheap paint was that the really flat finish makes more sense for stuff like skin and things that you dont want to have a semigloss finish.

Both come off with acetone or long nails lol.

I'm planning on using this clay.. it was only 4 bucks and its a pound of clay.
its air-dry and it should be kool.

There was a few people who came to me asking i fi could post some examples of things other people around the web have made.. so heres a few... these are based on the larger sized munny but you still get the idea and the design could have still been made with the one we're working with.

i think its easier to make something on a full sized munny if you have the creativity. im not too comfortable with these small ones cuz i just cant get that much detail on them.
like im trying to make the teeth right now, but i had to just wipe the whole mouth away to make them thicker. i still have to use something like a stick to get the acrylic on the teeth.

im thinking about clearing everything to improve the design, since i have like what...20 days till the due date?

well i have made a Master Chief munny. But i may consider getting another one. Because it isn't really an original design, although i had to alter things. Luis made a comment about commercial figures. We'll see.

That link has tons of different paint schemes and styles to paint. They aren't the WZL design but it might give some people some inspiration.

Heres a quick one im thinking about doing, but I most likely will add more to it or just completely revamp it. Just sex it up you know. My munny should be here, Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully.

its pretty good. id go back and polish up the line work on it, one of the tough things about robotic/machine based designs is how much more noticeable it is when the linework is shaky which is not something you want from something thats supposed to be very machined and precise-fitting.

I thought about getting some clay and buying another one so i can just make the armor features alot more accented. I also have a shaky hand. sucks.

I'm gonna get my paypal sometime this week and order but I'm being very lazy right now, so I dunno when I'll do it, but I'm currently obsessed with fatcaps (they're in stock on MPH) so I plan to buy a couple blind boxes of those as well.

It inspired me.

Black base coat, lots of intersecting colour. I dont intend to simply splatter paint onto it, I want the paint to change colour where it meets. If you understand. I have loads of acrylic paints to use.
