Awesome Concepts Luis! I wish i thought of that...

One thing I should mention that might hinder (or help) some of the people living in the US is the Thanksgiving holiday. Most people will probably be home and have plenty of time to work on their but some like me are going to be going home and leaving school where most of my paints and stuff are. I'll see what I can bring and regardless of datelines I'm going to make one. But...it probably won't be within the constraints of this competition.

Either way, You gotta do tricky, that is going to be so awesome. What are you thinking of making the mask out of? That clay you got?

i probably wont even use the clay if i do tricky, the hair i can probably just yank out of some cheap doll and then the mask i can probably make out of illustration board and just put a little string on it so it can rest on top the hair

In regards to the thanksgiving holiday... let me know if you are going to run into issues mailing it back .. AHEAD OF TIME. that way i can just adjust things to accomidate. Its my contest so i can change it on the fly.. as of right now do try and finish up by the end of the month.. thats plenty of time.

It doesnt need to be in my hands by then but you definately should have mailed it out by then.
Especially people who got them for free (you know who you are)

well youll probably have to leave it for a day or so.. i did notice this clay doesnt adhere that well to the figure so what i would do is just super glue it on after its dried it should be a perfect fit since you molded it to the shape of the body. My warning with superglue is that it wont come off if you decide to rip off the clay part and start over... the residue doesnt come off. you have to sand it off. i know from experience in a different munny i did months ago. :-X

i was on my way home and i stopped by an arts and crafts store.. they had like this fabric that sort of looks like a shag rug so i bought it because it might work perfectly for tricky's hair.

will post my findings when i try it

Today is the first day I've had to paint this little sucker. He's drying now, so I'm gonna give you guys my progress so far before I go back out to finish the guy for the day.

Here I am with my new friend. He's a little racist but we get along okay.

It's important that you go into this thing without a plan. That way when your finished piece looks like garbage, no one will suspect that you have no idea what you're doing.

I'm in Miami visiting the parents, and their house is being renovated. It's a great setup because I can get paint everywhere and no one gives a damn.

Maybe if Luis had sent me two heads instead of one, I just might have. I'm just glad I didn't fall into the temptation of turning mine into Blockhead. That big round head is just a little too tempting to slather with yellow paint.

Here is the paint I started with instead, prepped for the first coat around the tunic, helmet, boots, and gloves. Taking pictures of my color ratios helps me to figure out how to duplicate the color if I need to paint with the same color in future sections (duh). Here we have variants of green, white, black, and umber. I added more yellow than this as I mixed. PROGRESS.

And finally a shot of my dude in progress. He's almost totally covered in paint right now, and I've smoother the strokes out since then. More tomorrow, bye! <3

I went with something really simple.

I bought two munnys for myself so I could enter this contest and just finished the first. I kinda dislike the outcome but that's why I bought two, so i could experiment with the first!

I used spray paint and acrylics.
