Well i live in orlando and the eye of the hurricane is suppose to hit us. I got a digital camera so here are some pics of the current condition so far. Its suppose to hit at around 9 or 10 pm so right now it isnt that bad.

Hey people umm i dunno much about america and stuff seeing as i live in australia and i've never been near a natural disaster or anything so all i can say is good luck to all those in florida that are in the path of the hurricane, hope you all make it!

Yessir it is. Its the biggest since Andrew to go through the area. I'm just glad that I left Florida a couple days ago before the storm hit. To all in Florida, good luck and good health.

I'm thinking of everyone who'll face this hurricane. Hope noone gets hurt. The only hurricane I experienced was that big one that went through Southern England (I live right down the south) in 1987. Looking it up apparently it reached 110mph and at least 13 people died. I however was only 6 years old and slept through the whole thing. We did only lose a few roof tiles though. Hope the people in Florida are that lucky.

yep, its some pretty bad rain though.

while driving i saw a few houses being built and a lot of them with just clumps of tiles on them (to be set later). just imagine the hurricane blowing all those around at almost 150 mph *shudder*

I'm in Raleigh North Carolina right and we have a tornado warning. Right now we have EXTREMELY HEAVY rain but not even thunder. I'd take a picture but I don't have any film plus I don't know how to get my scanner to work.

I have a suggestion for those of you who are in the path of the storm: If you have some sort of camera, take pictures of your most expensive property. If you are covered over (good) insurance, you'll have proof of your property and will be able to replace these important items.

We have about an hour left until we (Osceola County) will be weathering the center of the storm.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention we also have a flash flood watch but I'm not worrying.

The news keeps interupting while I'm trying to watch The Simpsons its really funyy watching Groundskeeper Willie screaming in pain (although he's not making any noise since the news is cutting off the sound with the warning) from acid rain while some news guy is talking about a tornado thats going to hit.

There was a hurricane that hit florida in the 1920's that beats this one. If I remember correctly I think it was "Donna". Not 100% on that.
