Hurricane Charley has long passed over Cuba, and at the time it was at 105MPH. Now it's 145MPH and heading into Florida. I heard about 4 people died in Cuba, but now that the storm is Cat 4, instead of Cat 2, I wonder how many people will lose their life in Florida.

im supposedly in the path of this monster storm but i have another hour and a half before the storm comes in this way i personally think its gonna either dissapate or wonder off coarse before it gets too close to my area (melrose, florida). but i guess only time will tell ill keep ya posted on what happends ill probally post tomarrow and give youthe details of what the accountable storm was like.

You've had worse? When and where? This is the most powerful hurricane to hit Florida sinced Andrew in 1992. This is the worst Hurricane to hit this part of Florida since 1960, and I believe it's worse than that storm was.

They are saying it should maintain hurricane force winds all the way across Florida.

hey how we all doing... yea thats gr8 cause my little pre-fab home isnt looking to good rite about now, we got a 145mph CAT4 hurricane coming rite at us YAY! im not going newhere though, ive put all my life into this house and i have no insurance so if it goes im going with it ive attatched a picture of the path of the hurricane and i little red dot to show u where im located... god am i fucked, id like to thank newgrounds though for being so supportive in the last 3 days in the work i submitted it realy made me happy, i just hope i live long enuff to submit another peice

I don't know where you've been, but there's a good chance it might even go right over Orlando. But you can't properly predict weather. Out technology can only do so much. We can't predict exactly where it's going to go over. After Charley hit land, it was possible for it to expand. It's possible for it to expand and engulf all of Florida... Yikes, this thing is big.

Maybe the worst to hit that side of FL, but Andrew in 1992 was a Cat 5 and was worse than Charley.

I am in bradenton FL and we have yet to see the worst. Someone has alredy died on the interstate by smashing into a tree! My area has been evacuated, but me and my family have stayed. I will continue to post info as the day progreses! To all my FL folks, STAY INDORES!!!!!

On a positive note, florida is mostly old people anyways.

the storm surges on this one are making it worse then andrew because the AOE on this one is ALOT larger

Man, Andrew was crazy, even though I was 3 years old, I remeber all the panic that it caused. Living in Fort Lauderdale at the time was hectic. Shit, almost as bad as Andrew huh? Hope my family down there lives through it all. Uncles and Aunts, Grandparents, Cousins, and my Dad, hope they all survive.
