Pico Day Winners were announced last week and we launched a Stay Awake Animation Jam, the start of our summer series of animation jams!

There was a bit of downtime this afternoon to make site updates, expect more downtime Thursday when we roll out our new primary database server.

@Bluebaby aka Edmund McMillen has launched a Kickstarter for The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Requiem!

Artists: Mabelma is organizing an Isometric Quarantine Room Collab!

May was a juicy month full of great stuff. Your votes are in, here are the winners!

Top Five Animation

The top-ranked animation based on original material and winner of $250 is Dr. Bees Returns, congrats @HappyHarry!

Top Five Games

The top three games based on original material and winners of $100 each are Sacrifights, Ann and Deepest Sword!

The top-ranked game of June based on original material will win $200, with $100 each for 2nd and 3rd, thanks to our ongoing game prize sponsors, @AnonymousAlchemist, @Manderby and @53xy83457, with a boost from @SrPelo to sustain this for more months ahead!

If you would like to contribute to our game prize fund, use the donation option on the Supporter page and PM me a heads up you donated towards game prizes.

And you know what? One of the big upsets of the Pico Day judging was that by the time we finished arranging favorites in the art category, the piece by @OfficiallyThatBoi had gotten nudged off the list.

This piece managed to rank #1 for the month by score, so OfficiallyThatBoi is gonna get a well deserved $100 prize.

The voter of the month and winner of honorary Supporter status is @wallabites!

Speaking of Supporter, thank you everyone who came aboard as a Supporter this month. The database update coming this week is part of numerous hosting expansions that have rolled out in response to FNF Week 7 crashing our servers at launch. Our goal is to be ready for Week 8 and your ongoing support gives us a fighting chance!

Funkin’ Jam winners are likely the next announcement, knock on wood.

Got beat up bad by vaccine side-effects so I'm a bit late with my video review which I'll post later, but the games were great as usual this month, so congrats to all of the game devs! In particular there were a lot of cool demos and prototypes that showed a lot of promise: looking forward to seeing them develop in the future!

Like others, I too was very impressed with the submissions this month. Also, I just wanna point out that I've never seen so many female animators nominated in one month before! The most I've seen is like 5.

(Yes, I know TheShookKitty made two of these)

Huge congrats to everyone! Can't wait to see what the future holds.

More great games as usual this month! In particular there were a lot of demos, specially from Pico Day: gonna be exciting to see when they come back in more powerful forms later on!

Sorry this review is coming a little late: took my 2nd vaccine jab during reviews and I got hit hard by side effects. A large portion of the reviews were also done when I was still coming out of it so if I'm a little bit more dumb than usual, now you know why. Stay healthy, all!

damn, it's so cool that you do this! i have a thought, though: don't you think it would be better for your channel if you did an individual video for each game? channels with shorter and more frequent videos tend to succeed more. Also, people would be able to search for specific games more easily.

Cheers! I do hear ya: it's not exactly what you proposed, but before I tried to experiment with making both the long, raw feedback videos specifically for the devs, as well as a more public-friendly highlight video to get more engagement, but it just ended up taking so much time from my other hobbies and such. At the end of the day, I don't care about my channel and engagement numbers that much: as long as I reach the devs specifically and help them out, that's all I want. Though I do admit that, of course, it is tempting to get engagement up so that devs get more eyeballs on their games, but for now, I suppose that slot is open to a more extroverted Newgrounder than me to champion, haha!

I gave it a watch, it's really useful for the devs! Personally i think it's good general content too, it can be a good go-to if someone wanna play something but don't know what, or maybe if someone wanna keep up with Newgrounds games but doesn't have the time/will to play it all. Keep it up!
