While I agree with that (plus I never even saw it coming, heh) both songs were submitted from different accounts because they were both collabs. So really two half-songs of mine were there, so that counts as one full song still, right? lol
Plus, I have an advantage over most NG users because I have a fairly substantial fanbase on other sites and can ask for 5 votes <_<

I can see the reasoning in that but the top 5 is mostly decided by many voters right? As for the top 30 of the week... I've seen a few users over the last few months happy to get 2 pieces up there. I think one person got 3-4 up there at one time too.

Aww man, i forgot to post the weekly top 5 yesterday; damn skyrim.
Anyways , i don't see what's wrong of a user having more than 2 submissions on the top 5. Sure it takes the chances of others to make some exposure, but it's clear that this is not going to be the last top 5 of Newgrounds AP history.
If you didn't make it in this week , well then delete your track , reupload it and try again. Top 5 is matter of luck , it doesn't matter how many people vote 5 on your track , what it matters is how many people vote 0 and when.

Well technically it does matter how many people vote 5 on your track. If you have loads of fans and ask them all to vote 5, you'll get the Top 5 because the active 0-bombers would've given you all they got which isn't sufficient to lower your score enough.
I tried to get on the Top 5 this week and a song of mine was doing pretty well, but then came 3 0-bombers and from 4.71 it rocketed down to 4.33. I won't delete it and upload it again though, since it has four favourites and four reviews (two of which are pretty detailed). Although I do wish I got that Top 5.
Ah well!

I didn't even think Obelisk would get up there because in the last hour or so before the rollover it dropped .2+ in score. But hey, I guess the portal gods were smiling on me this week.

People like what you do or don't... Last year, I went on the front page all of a sudden and that's what made my future clear, to me. I had a namepoint, but I didn't have close attachment to be on the front page... it seemed impossible to me, at first. Gotta let things go and they will happen on their own. Nature is all about balance.
I like this week's top songs. Great job to everyone ! Seems promising for future dubstep songs ! :-)

I don't think this is cheating whatsoever. Some think that it is cheating because they are abusing the system but, if the 5's are coming from fans then obviosly they were dedicated enough to visit your song and vote. This is how I made top #1 on the front page a while back. I don't think it deserved to be number one but seeing a lot of the crap that has been making top songs doesn't make me feel too bad about it.
Although it's good to see diferent artists make front page who deserve it. I liked a couple of this weeks tops.

Some subtly might be wise, some people don't like the idea of artists asking listeners for support (yea kind of silly, but it might avoid some flak). In your mixing too, a lot of it sounds over saturated / over compressed and clamped with limiters in lieu of eqing.
