I'm going to suppose (just for the sake of it) that the copyright only applies when you are utilizing the sample for commercial purposes, otherwise I guess its just fine, so leave the woman in peace, let her enjoy her first ray of exposure, we all deserve a chance.

Just because it didn't say explicitly "this is copyrighted" doesn't mean it isn't. You should never assume anything about copyright law.

Besides, using samples is strictly against the rules of the AP.

As for your comment on "if it's really hurting you, you should contact a mod" - it really isn't, and I won't. I personally don't care at all about your song - I don't give a shit if you used a sample, or where you got it from, or whether it was "legally purchased" or if its licensed, or if Saint Peter himself descended upon the Earth and gave you the Lord God Almighty's permission to use it.

Why don't I care? Because I'm here to write and share my music with other artists, with gamers, and with flash developers. I'm NOT here to play a game of SONY/BMG/YouTube and call out every single song that uses sampled content; I'm not the type of person who goes around blowing whistles and ringing bells to get people into trouble.

BUT it might be wise to re-upload the song without the sampled vocals. Unless it directly and negatively impacts contests or something of that nature, I personally don't care. But just be warned that there are plenty of people who DO scour the portal looking for songs that break the AP rules.

And with that, I wash my hands of this conversation.

I had vocals in my songs too, one of them was recreated, but nobody cared.
If I was forced to remove it, I don't see why someone should be an exception to that rule, just because he is more popular.

Thanks guys. Oh and this is the second time I got a Top 5 (both times getting second place). First time was on my song Dancing Flame.

That song was a Latin song and this one was a Pop song. It's amazing how putting your songs under unpopular genres can prevent 0-bombing.

You are completely right Dela; Unfortunately the ratio of Audio Mods to New Audio Submissions is way off, and songs like this sometimes make it this far before they are noticed. (That's why it's so important to let people know ASAP when this happens)

Why only Techno and Video Game songs get on the top list?
Most of them are crap (not saying about this list, but in general), but you can find the nice ones too.
What is that I don't understand, why are there never House songs or DnB, even if I find sick songs there all the time.
I've been starting to hate this comunity because of idiot individuals who do 0-bombing or whatever.

These 5 are just decent, nothing special though.

Just want to make one thing clear, I know that two of them are House, but every time there's got to be a Video Game song, no matter how much it sucks.
That's why I hate the rating system.
