Thanks man! I really didnt like the new layout, in my opinion it looked too much like YouTube, and I just didnt like the way it looked. Giving us an option between the two is great, thanks!

Well that's pretty much addressed any problems I had with the layout, although it would be nice if the play button was a little smaller to start with and expands when you hit it so it doesn't take up space on the page if you just plan on browsing reviews or voting for yourself for exp points (I know you do it in secret)

Ads aren't THAT annoying guys... Be grateful that they reduced the advertisements to small headers and corners rather than frequent popups!

Well you mentioned this, but it can't hurt to say it again, that if you make the games/movie pages wide, the whole site has to be wide layout bc it's tough to switch back and fourth. The layout will take time, but everyone will adjust, some may just never like it, but they will adjust never the less. Auto play is unnecessary, but it is nice to have the option. A new tab for tutorials would be nice and beanies in the store would be cool. The collections and series need to be better organized bc right now its just all laying there in alphabetical order and its tough to really get a good look at possible movies or games we might be interested in. Putting all the games/movies/audio in some collection would be nice, even if they're not good they deserve a chance to be seen or played. Maybe just a simple algorithm to place uncategorized movies, games, and audio into "The Void" (possible name for it) category where people can view the games and movies not recommended or good enough to be in a major collection/series or w/e. Then if they do get recommended or voted high enough you can remove it from "The Void" and add it to a collection or series or etc. Maybe the option for alerts posted up top by the username on Major news posts from administration of NG just in case people don't check the front page everyday (that can also go for awards on personal entries) or e-mail alerts.

I just want to say thank you very much for considering the concerns the users had with the new layout. I'm very surprised to see the classic view back but I'm happy nonetheless. My main complaint about the wide layout was the auto-play, but since that issue is fixed for the in-page mode, my only other concerns now are how all the information is laid out. However, this isn't the final thing so despite viewing classic mode, I'll wait patiently to hear more updates for it.

why is classic still wide view? is there going to be a classic narrow view latter on?

I'm not really 'asking the staff to accommodate for my needs'. I know that by using adblock some websites are going to screw up. That's what I get for blocking part of the site. I knew this would happen. I'm merely pointing out that there are problems when you use adblock. If they want to fix it or not is not my problem, its their site. I really wouldn't mind if it wasn't fixed, it doesn't bother me at all. It may however, bother other people. If you were making a website, you would want to make the website the best it could be, and let a wide variety of people use the site with no problems (At least I guess you should..).

My point is though, that I know that pages will screw up with adblock, but I really don't mind. If it was a real problem for me, then I would have disabled adblock ages ago.

Yes I can go to classic mode unless there a huge spicy boner in a flash then I am going nothing but wide screen. I am enabling a Play button on all flash. There is more room for more links and buttons on the header, oh what oh what will be put there hopefully a gay section for homos just like myself. And the Artistic Portal. I eagerly await HD even though most flash would be in HD or my computer/intarnets be able to handle.

I like the Autoplay, but a classic feature is nice for those days when you just need the nostalgia. Amazing job, NG and Psycho. You guys rock and will continue to rock long into the life of the internet.

Make the vote bar bigger, it's like a tiny pimple on the ass of the new widescreen layout.

I'm surprised you guys broke down and gave a choice. Obviously it's going to take some time to get this system as tight as the now dubbed "Classic" view. That's a hell of a nice thing to do.

There are a few suggestions I have, but I can't imagine you guys aren't already working on them as I type this, so it's probably redundant.

I know that there are ratings icons on the top left, and I know what they mean. If I was just coming to this site, I don't know if I would. With the wide layout you have a lot of space to put "Mature" or "Everyone", or "Only For Grandpa and the Dog". Also, with so much space in that bar, you have a change to display the awards in the top bar that people covet so much. To put them below the Author Information doesn't lessen the achievement, but might obscure it for people who don't know where to look.

Movie score is also a bit harder to find, but it's not a scavenger hunt or anything. And maybe that's what you guys want, so people will start watching without a preconceived notion on the overall "worth" of the flash that score is associated with. It's also been said that the voting icons themselves are a bit smaller in comparison now, but I think Lil'jim already addressed that was being worked on.

All in all, I see a lot of potential for this layout, and think it's going to make this site even more cutting edge than it already was.

Now if you could only include a pause button for movies...

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's stealing.... They're still getting paid you know?! By blocking ads you don't take any money from them. If this was used by everyone, would be a problem, yes, but as it is now, I don't believe it brings the site any financial damage
