I beat the game in 180 and 360 im a god.
also i may have found a small bug. in 360 against the archers when they unsheathe their daggers the unsheathing noise comes from the opposite side that its supposed to i believe.
some tips:
every normal enemy has a 3 stances; circling charging and attacking, and each of them has different sounds.
as soon as you hear their attacking yell/growl you may parry, but doing it before you hear it will fail the parry.
there are two kinds of counterattacks after every parry which i call quick and normal. the difference is the timing.
when you hear the metallic sound of the parry you can either attack as soon as you can for the quick counter or you can wait a moment and then attack for the normal counter.
for example against the dagger women you want to quick counter which is basically as soon as you hear the parry succeed you want to attack as soon as you can.
against most other enemies a normal counter will work.
3 enemies in the game do not require a counter, the first, the wolves, and the boss.
first enemy: simply attack as soon as you hear his attack yell, not his charge yell
flail guy: simple parry and counter
dagger woman: parry quick counter. if you're not quick enough she moves to the side and then attacks again. after that she backs off and repeats the cycle
wolves: same as first guy, attack when you hear the attack growl
archers: annoying and takes a while to restart if you miss. you have to learn the timing of the arrows to parry and you have to parry 8 times total before they switch to daggers. then its just parry and counter 4 times. careful their dagger attacks are quick.
mob 1: just a bunch of random normal enemies. each enemy is only vulnerable to one kind of counter, but most of them are normal counters so just try that first and if they block it go for the quick.
more dagger women: same as first but 3 of them
mob 2: same as mob 1 but more of them
horse guy: toughest one yet, must quick counter his first attack or he will simply ride past you and compliment you and repeat. however it doesnt end yet. as soon as you quick counter his first one he will block it and attack again and again and again while moving either left or right. you have to parry and counter each attack while moving in the right direction multiple times (over 5) until eventually one will succeed. i don't believe there is a correct timing to this, just perseverance.
boss: difficult to understand your first time through. he teleports around and shoots fireballs and fills the room with crows to make it hard to hear. the hardest part people have (i think) is not understanding that when he teleports he also changes his distance to you and therefore his fireball takes longer to reach you, changing the parry timing. you just have to get used to it. also this fight is not at all like the archers where if you wait it out he eventually comes to you. no, you have to actually catch him in the middle of teleporting. he will tp and taunt you and he cannot be attacked while he does this. he cannot be attacked while throwing fireballs or summoning crows either. the only time he is vulnerable is when he is teleporting left and right and not saying anything. i believe when he teleports left and right he teleports to the same places so if you can find the spot on one side early enough you can catch him when he tps back and simply attack, no need for counter. then congrats you win the game.
great game great idea too lazy to do survival cause it seems like mob2 endlessly.
