Reviews for "Alien Splatter"

Great job emulating the classic feel, and kudos on adjusting the difficulty - it's hard, but fair. None of the random death everywhere, switch rules mid-level BS that plagued the bottom rungs of the NES library. I have a feeling if it did come out in the NES age, people would play the crap out of it!

SinclairStrange responds:

That was my aim to emulate the class ol' feel of these games. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! :)

I have to say that, after reading the game's description, I thought you would be one of those people who excuse poor game design and fake dificulty by saying "back in my time, games were hard"; but this game is really well made. Congratulations.

SinclairStrange responds:

Thanks! I tried to make it like what you would see back in the day by playing and studying the games I made homage to. Studying maps, enemy patterns that sort of thing. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! :)

We need more games like this online. I love retro games to the very core and I have to say to the author you are the only one I know who has captured the essence of our childhood. I grew up playing NES and still play the system to this day. This and Ninja Virus are outstanding contributions that stand on their own compared to the other boring crap that is on NGs game database. Thank you for making this and putting it up. I love this game!

SinclairStrange responds:

Thanks! You just can't beat that ol' tub of grey nerdjoy sometimes. I'm glad you found it retro and enjoyed playing it! :)

love this game takes me back to super-Nintendo i love the graphics i love the smoothness of walking/jumping and especially i love it because its not like hose new sh*tty COD games love the game hope you make plenty of em success mate

COD= call of drunks or something ;)

Absolutely hard and absolutely unfair, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Great controls, bitchin' soundtrack, beautiful graphics, and a plethora of nods to old-school games. A must-play for anyone who grew up on the NES.
