Perfect Win Forever!
Thank you all, you great people at i-Mockery, for this most beautiful love letter to the days of my youth. Every last inch of Abobo's Big Adventure was bountifully beautiful, you recreated so much minutea of various NES games with the utmost of precision (such as how to get to the secret room in Level 1, or how to get free health in the final level). Often times if I said to myself "I wish I could do (x)" or "wouldn't it be hilarious if could (x)", you had actually programmed (x) in much to my grand delight. Even when I was doing something batshit crazy, like shooting that little bit of fire for 10 minutes because I noticed it actually had a health bar that went down while being shot, that itself was also rewarded. You also reminded me how much I hated Flash Man's stage in Megaman 2 all over again, a possibly less good experience but a part of the valid nostalgia package all the same. I laughed, I cried (manly tears of joy), I raged in frustration, and I beat an old man with Abobo's laser beam shooting beef stick (far more work appropriate than it sounds). Then there's the way you implemented the epic final level, with Abobo on top (again, more work safe than it sounds), that was itself so perfect (even if it was a real bitch of a level to play). My only complaint is that there will never be, considering this game took you 10 years to make, a sequel to follow up this amazing game (although it's worth asking if anything could ever be as awesome as this game was).
Tears of Nostalgia
This game is simply amazing. The fact that you took all the effort and commitment to make something like this is absolutely commendable. This was a funny, interesting, and very gory mish-mash of classic NES lovables that make this game much more special. You deserve every piece of 10 you get, and I will be exited to play future titles you come up with...
Now if only Abobo can beat the hell out of those "arrow in the knee" faggots... XD
Abobo's Big Adventure = Epic 8-bit NES Game !
Many Medals,many Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) characters,many levels,many old musics you know from those old games...what can i say ? You think Rog's Idea,it's excellent ? The excellent idea to mix all those NES characters in one game,you think Rog (the guy from I-mockery,you have to know that dude !) began Abobo in 2002 and he finished in 2012 for nothing ? (If you think yes,your completly CrAzzzY and don't know alot about the old games).Where is the Abobo merchandise please ?
BEST FREAKING GAME EVER
just everything about it is perfect! although the balloon jedi medal is SO FUCKING HARD to do, its still awesome (still haven't got that yet) also i found an odd exploit how if you press 1 after pausing in balloon fight, you automatically go to the wrestling stage. Anyways I love this game and i hope to see more from you guys, maybe even Abobo's SNES adventure? :D
