Reviews for "Breathe With Me"

A whole new story

I either feel like I'm traveling through the never ending emptiness of space, watching stars, planets, and space clouds pass me by, or I'm swimming deep through the dark yet colorful depths of the ocean, with corals and small groups of sea animals moving beneath me as I continue. This definitely has an eerie feeling to it, but one that just causes you to let go of all your pains and stresses in life and makes you enter a whole new world of cool, relaxed exploration and solitude.

This song is absolutely fantastic for meditation or ease of stress in the day, but I have to say its not some catchy tune that one would listen too over and over again for the beat or their personal liking. And yet, it is that which makes this song worth treasuring and listening to for special and personal occasions. I find it really digs deep into my emotions and lets me freely think up these calm and soothing fantasies, which is why I have so enjoyed this song and choose to highly rate it. Keep up the great work!

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thanks a lot! In a earlier review, I stated that the purpose of this song was exactly what you described. It lets you release all of your worries and thoughts to freely meditate and imagine. You are right, it isnt the type of music that most people would listen to over and over again, although this is what makes ambient so special. Thanks for reviewing.

Omnomnom

Reminds me of a thomas newman track but more laid back, and in a way, maybe even a little bit more emotional, the pads and layering are never too heavy, The melody is slow enough to completely flow with the rest of the atmosphere, a great mixture of sad while also having a sense of hope in the synths which create a great melancholy feeling while not being too overpowering, Nor is this too repetitive, Just the right amount, I understand that the full high-quality version would not have the quality loss most noticeable around 6:30, So I will not let that impact this review in any way, The way the song mysteriously floats to it's conclusion is great.

Overall, I enjoy this greatly, Thank you for creating a piece as this, I have tried myself to creating such an influential mindset track as you have here, You can listen to it one day, and depending how you feel or react to it it could be one thing, and the next something else, I have experienced this as an enjoyable happy song, and as a reflection of sadness and melancholy a few days later.

Thank you.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thank you for such a thoughtful review! The high quality version is 11MB and actually makes 6:30 sound just a BIT better. The bass is more noticeable as well. Comparing this to a more emotional version of Thomas Newman is one of the best compliments I could get. I really focused on trying not to make it sound to repetitive, and played it by heart. I was in a meditative state at the time, as said, so the reason there is so much emotion behind it is because I played it from heart, much as a piano composer plays a song.

The best thing you said is that you can listen to it one day, and depending how you feel you will react to it a certain way. That is very true :)

Most people find this relaxing.

but to me, it sounds very mysterious in a way. it's really helping me b vome up with new ideas for a Novel that im writing. :D

Thanks for the great submission! instantly faced. :3

I actually have a very large hobby writing while listening to music! Good luck with your novel. :3

This song gave me some inspiration

This song is really an absolute great work of art. Its not exactly easy to define with words, but I'll do my best.

It really starts off soft and really brings you in, entrancing you in the environment. And it kinda evokes a bunch of different emotions inside of me all at the same time. Something that's really relaxing and easy on the ears, yet something that occasionally reminds us of all the trials and tribulations we've gone through to get to where we are now. And if you put your headphones on and listen to this and just close your eyes, it feels almost as if you're in a floating state, as if you were in space.

You've given me some great inspiration with this song for a videogame story I'm working on. Down the road I'd definitely want to have a song like this to represent the feelings and emotions that are portrayed in it. ^_^;

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Glad to help with inspiring man. Songs like this can really help ease your mind and just let you relax and focus on whats inside of you.

nice

Love the atmospheric and ethereal feeling from this. It's so otherworldly. That's a tough thing to do with typical synth timbres without sometimes making a mess of things. This works near perfectly for what it is.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Thanks man... and I completely agree. I am very proud of this track, as I think it is perfect for a drone piece. I have a lot to improv on, but at least I know how to make the right "tune".
