The Anthem of the Gamer.

The World is Saved is a new epic song and anthem for video game fans. Made in the pixel-art style of SNES (Super Nintendo) cutscenes, this video was a collaborative effort from IGN's Podcast Beyond community. IGN's Ryan Clements pulled together a small team of volunteers to animate a video for Danny Wiessner's latest single. The video debuted at the end of the live recording of Podcast Beyond Episode 200, which can be viewed here: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/118/1186511p1.html

This video is seven years old, but still AWESOME. Kind of reminds me why I play games like Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite over and over. (the story always feels a little different each time)

Great animation
Great tunes
Great lyrics

I also liked that you used something as shadow of colossus in this =)

EKublai responds:

Thanks a bunch. Tons of Shadow of the Colossus love in this.

This song inspired me to become a game developer. I still listen to this all the time, it just reminds me of a time when the internet, and people in general, were... a little less plastic. This song is practically something mythical by this point in my mind, and sometimes, and I know this sounds a little weird, it almost feels like some kind of ethereal thing that doesn't really exist, because it's just so delicate and so well executed that it can't be a reality, and then I just come back here and listen to it and it brings a smile to my face every time. Thanks for making such a cool thing!

EKublai responds:

Wow. Thank you so much!

I still come back to this sometimes, I remember the day it came out and how amazed I was with it. This song just makes me happy it makes me want to go back and revisit every fading memory of my favorite games and never fails to bring me a smile, even after all these years and all the times I've listened to it I've gotta say again, thank you for this.
