Great Song, absolutely Wonderful Melody! Not so hot on the God-talk, but sure, if it's your thing, good for you. Hope you can continue to amaze and astound with your musical prowess.
Same as the person below, I really love this song. Simple memories I have shared and collected over the years come back to me. I have no qualms with this piece. Good job through and through and I thank you for contributing your music for us all to benefit. I know it has been a bit since the release of this, but, it still demands respect. I will be digging through other submissions of yours in the future :)
Since I downloaded this song over a month ago I thought I'd at least review it now that I remembered.
I think lyrics are usually the way an artist tries to get a specific opinion across to the audience. But, usually when I listen to music I don't want to hear someone's opinion. A lot of people are easily influenced, and really like lyrics, but I don't care for it unless it's a really great song. This is one reason why I like lyric-less music. The other reason is great lyric-less music like this.
I have to say, I really like the song. The vocals were a good choice and blend well with the other synths, especially for your theme. The beat isn't catchy (I prefer that, but that's just me), but it flows and transitions well, and isn't too intense either. The finish is my favorite part of the song though, it just feels right.
One other thing would be I was sort of surprised and not surprised at the same time as to the fact that you were a Christian music producer. The song really fits in with your background, but a lot of Christian music I hear is pushy. You do a good job making it more about something everyone has in common: emotion. I wish others had the same idea.
I won't say something like "Keep making stuff like this!" because I know how hard it is to make good art in some form or another. However, I will say never make anything like this again, because it'll ruin the originality of this great piece of music.
This is definitely a great review. I'm glad you like the song, although I'm not sure what vocals you're talking about, unless you meant my other song "Simple Praise." Either way, your thoughts on my music are definitely valuable. I'm glad you enjoyed my bridging of the gap between Christian and non-Christian music. And I understand what you mean about originality, although everybody does have their own style which tends to create some form of commonality between their pieces of work. Thanks for reviewing, and thanks for the thoughts!
