Reviews for "A Bid For Freedom"

Heres the thing.

The reason I loved this so much was not only becsue it was a funny and heartwarming story (despite the end). But it was tottally unique.
A story? in flash? Awesome!
Kudos to the narrator whos voice was as clear as a crystal and I could hear every word, and understand them perfectly.
A well deserved 10

P.S. Fantastic little tale.

one of a million

this is one in a million. .this is a nugget of pure gold. the writing was excellent, the voice acting was very good... I would love to hear which voices where tomamotos though. i could barely recognise any of the voices! your writing skills... well... let me put it like this. I HATE ENGLISH and failed at school because i despised stories and poetry. But for some reason i love it for the first time. well done. pure gold man. you SO have a career ahead of you. KEEP IT UP!

Excellent, as I expected

I was a bit surprised to see this submission so soon, I didn't know it was already so advanced when I read it.
I don't need to tell you I loved the story, I think that is clear by now, so I might as well comment on the other elements. At first I felt the narration a bit awkward (it was great, I just had a different idea when I read it), but he is obviously talented and with every page I liked it a bit more, in such way that at the end I was very comfortable with it. Maybe it was because the tone was a bit different from the cartoony looks of the character, but the final result was great, adding to the contrasts in the story. Also al other sound effects and voices were very well done and fitted the atomsphere perfectly.
Nacho's illustrations are obviously great, for the most of it, they surpassed my expectations of what the illustration for the next page would be.. and in some peculiar cases, it was EXACTLY how I had imagined it. I want to thank you also for recommending me to watch MR.Coo, I loved it, even fav'ed it.

Finally ,you can imagine my surprise when I read your comments and saw my username there. It was a very pleasent surprise, thank you for that. It is very important to me that someone who can write like this liked my story.

Nice Job

this is so wonderful. I enjoyed it a lot. the illustrations are well done, and the colors, and style fit well and are good. The monologue... aww, I loved it! When I heard the voice of the narrator, and the way that he speaks, the first thing that popped in my head was the Legacy of Kain series, it's a video game, which has a brilliant story script by the way, It's just like it. the narrators voice is a mix of Kain and Raziel, with the way he speaks and choices of words, but like I said before Nice job! I loved it!

An adult short story with children's book appeal

I like the drawings and I loved the page appeal. The coloring was so well planned and worked so well with the story. I love the modern elements of internet jargon throughout the piece. It just helped to mark this piece as a modern element of internet culture rather than just a great element of storytelling.

I will say that it is not simple to figure the gui out. I opened and re-opened multiple times. Try to fix this style to be more logical for any user to manipulate without much reading of the instructions.

It is an excellent piece full of really beautiful mastery of storytelling and flash innovative techniques.
