I was saying this to one of the mods the other day. Here's my two cents, for what it's worth:
I think there's a lot of truth to the whole, "if you don't like the way things are, then start by changing yourself." The more you tell others that they're wrong and that they need to change, the more they'll probably do it to you. Nothing gets done because everyone's in the wrong. I'd advocate we just be the model of what we'd like to see more of.
I would imagine that the success of this website and the people in it are connected. Setting a negative atmosphere is going to affect the kind of people who stay and who buys what. Negative, needy customers tend not to be worth it in the long wrong.. or so I hear. If you don't like what's going on in the BBS, realize that you are part of that. You're part of that issue.
