I thought he was a good mod too, but he made a grave error. He let someone else deposit his points. Mods can't let non-mods access their accounts. They can ask another mod to deposit for them. The other problem is the person Rabid let deposit for him wasn't a trustworthy person and used the access to ban users, read the mod forums, etc. Then this guy told others about what he read in our mod forum, etc.

Rabid gave this guy access to his account and even told him he could moderate the forums as well. If Rabid had simply asked me or other mods if this would be okay or not, he would have been quickly told "NO!!!!"

I didn't want to make a public comment about this, but to many people were questioing why he was banned. Many mods were calling for Rabid's account to be terminated. So it could be worse.

What is done is done and I don't hold a grudge against Rabid and I hope he continues to enjoy Newgrounds and continues to be a role model user on the forums. I hope everyone here can also not hold this against Rabid and support him through this. While he made a mistake, he has paid for the mistake by beind demodded. So his slate is clean in my book. I don't want there to be hard feelings.

I honestlly hope we don't get a bunch of Newgrounds idiot's complaining to him, or even making fun.

What a pitty that Rabid-Echidna would be so foolish as to put the site's security at risk like that. I expected more from him.

That sucks. Will he get another chance to be mod, or are lesser mortals taking his office?

Its a shame that Rabid had to be demodded, because he was one of the few users left that had some sense in general. Oh well. Not like one person could repair the NGBBS General forum anyways and what it has become.

Well, Rabid was a good mod but he shouldn't of let other people into his account. Could it of been possible if a guy in his account banned everyone on Newgrounds?

You're thinking of Macbeth. It happened a couple of years ago, April 2004 if I recall correctly...as a matter of fact I was just thinking about that as I read through this thread. But that whole thing was way different. Macbeth didn't hand his account over to Josh. What happened was that Josh guessed Macbeth's NG password based on his Retrogade one, and it turned out they were the same.

What's really too bad is how SOAS has blocked me from her AIM, now that she's a mod. I expected better from Sam.
