I still have most of my birthday money from July and I get a decent amount of money from benefits, so I could have around £900 by the end of October.

Just remind them that it's your money and you can do what you like with it. They should be thankful that you're not spending it on hookers and drugs at the very least. Do they want you to buy something else with it, or just save up?

Yah, that's why I got a laptop for this year, and I might look into getting a desktop for either my 2nd or 3rd year when I have a house and possibly a car.

My sister has her own PC, and when she was at uni our mum was kind enough to drive up there to pick her up when she needed to transport her computer back home.

Yeah, the PC's not too much a problem, I mean, it's heavy sure, but I'll have a suitcase for a reason... it's that I'll have to take the monitor and keyboard and mouse et al at the same time.

Moving into my university halls in a few days time. Oh man oh man it'll be awesome. Except I still need to buy a shitload of items that I may need for the next couple of months that I'm up there, and I hate shopping. Tried to do some the other day but I literally ended up buying only a few bits and pieces, like shower stuff, deoderant, extra shaving stuff, and some paper and pens.

Pretty lame haul. I'll have to spend like a whole day shopping tomorrow I guess.

Well, good luck on your first day. I got a lot application forms from different universities that I am planning to enter on and tomorrow is my entrance examination in those institutions. And also, I need to pay for the fare, the fees, and other things.
