Oki then, some feedback/suggestion on the previous preview :

- Corner symbolicals moved up a bit, to not cover any of the text
- Icons below the login form about 5px more to the right
- Icons change color to orange when hovered over
- Wider arrow icon at the bottom of page
- Accounement and Submission texts in different color or style to stand out more
- Different main font, Verdana would look much better in my opinion

When it comes to functionality I have no idea how it will be, but it would be nice with a little ajax involved ( for example in the browsing through recent/top submission on frontpage, voting and login )
Once the site is up and running I can probably be more suggestive, heh, btw, what's retronet going to be about?

I think the design looks good. I don't have any real suggestions for it. All I hope is that the whole layout will be viewable on 1024 x 768 resolution monitors such as mine (I don't get to see the whole of the NG side banners, unless I right click and view the image of them). Also, I'd say I wish we were going to have the RG layout we had before the site went, but I'm sure none of you intend on using it again.

Yeah, it'll be hard to come by most of the regulars at Retrogade. Hell, some of them you probably won't even be able to contact anymore. A lot of them stopped visiting this site and other sites they visited completely.

I guess it's still worth a shot, though. I wouldn't mind seeing back up and coming back there.

i would think it's a bit obvious that the revamped site is catering to a different audience, and thus the expectation is not that people would return, but that many more would sign up for the first time.

retrogade 5.2 is extremely web 2.0, it's bound to get more than enough attention if a few people digg it and such.

well it's a lot of work to make a site like that, and re-do it all over again. and i don't exactly see a thousand people lining up waiting for the site to be back up. wouldn't it feel like a waste of time to put such hard work into a site that only ten people would actually visit?

yeh, i came to that realization about a month after retrogade was last up.

its just that qf was teasing us with delicious layouts and shit.

and now because of that my hard on for him and the site wont go soft.
