Damn this took me so much time and its still not done... i need some ideas about what to do with that huge hole in the middle, and some suggestions about the position of the characters would be apreciated.
Hope I'll be able to figure everything out by tomorrow night!
Guess who's going to turn his submission at the last minute?!

Yeah my bad I didnt realise that! I was being a cheeky bastard anyway i guess :P
my god... I really need an extra day. Please? It's going to be a shame to see my hard work go to waste

agree, 3 more days would be great.
man I'm so busy with college right now; a lengthy extension would be swell
i vote for an extension as well, even just for a day - i'm in the middle of church commission i can't break and the simpletons can't figure out the difference between a .tif and a .gif file.
WIP... you may notice I changed the enemy...
I think it is time to add the finishing touches.. some dents, some glows, some corrections... some clouds?

I totally didn't make my submission in an hour.
Rigs stubble was much lighter on paper, that's what i get for using a cheap scanner.

I laughed at that... great idea for topic, cant believe nobody else thought about that.
Hey,
it took me way to long to choose between my ideas.
So i only had time left for a short one...
funny > simple?

Yeah Techno already yelled at me about that, the picture I was looking at he had stubble on the top of his head, and like I said the brown isn't nearly that dark in the actual piece. My friends scanner is just a piece of shit.
I might try and fix it later if i'm not busy
Finished my entry and submitted!
Hi-Res
ENJOY!

Words cannot explain how awsome that is.

What Month should I go for?
"I need a katana to slice a banana"
k... here's the deal. I had allowed a few days for 'collecting'. So, if you guys help me out with that, we can extend the deadline. What I need everyone to do (if you haven't already), is put the HIGH RES version of your submission on your user/art page (doesn't have to be in the portal, so if you're not scouted or whatever, it's not a problem). This way, once the judging is done, I can just grab what I need without waiting for links and what not, so...

Hopefully this doesn't piss off the people that busted ass and worked it out to get theirs done on time! Your efforts are GREATLY appreciated!!! If you want to use the extra time to tweak/perfect your already submitted pieces, please do!!
ALSO!!! I'm seeing some pieces that are clearly the wrong size. Please note that if your file does not meet the required size and resolution specs, it will not be considered in the judging. Make sure you've got it right!!!
Good luck! :D

Hey Nae nae, the Art upload will not allow an image of the full resolution to be uploaded.... (Exceeds 4000000 square pixels it says) Should we use a 3rd party site then? Thanks! :)

Thank Renae! Do you know a good place to upload our artwork on line that won't compress the image? I've been using Photobucket, but I'm worried that it compresses it down to web-res.
lol, sorry.. some of that was supposed to be a quote from Renae's last post (obv).

does imageshack do the same thing? it always seems to be the same size after it's uploaded. i noticed the 4-bajillion size exceedance as well when i tried to upload.

From Imageshack FAQ:
"Does ImageShack alter, compress, or watermark my files in any way?
For images and flash, absolutely not. ImageShack strives to be completely non-intrusive, which means that ImageShack will not alter your uploaded images or flash files in any way. ImageShack will not add watermarks to your image or flash files, nor will it compress the images or flash files that you upload (unless it is bigger than 1.5 megabytes or if you resized it yourself)."
I just registered there in hopes of finding somewhere that wouldn't compress the hell out of the image, so I guess as long as the file you upload is less than 1.5mb, it should be okay(?). I had to reduce the image quality slightly to retain the resolution within the file-size restrictions.
Also, I'm pretty annoyed with myself because I've just realised that I posted the RGB version of my image, and hadn't worked/converted to CMYK (for print). Hmm, thankfully the colours don't appear to look much different. The version I'll link to on my profile will be in CMYK.

You don't have to worry about that... the press it's going on can handle either ;)
I'm checking to see if I can get an ftp/upload space on my site... I'll keep you posted! :D
I wanna be cool like LiLg ...bah! that'll never happen! :'(

If You Have An Account On Deviantart You Can Upload The Full Size Of The Files, That's What I Did And It Worked. :)
So is the slightly more stubbled Rig more suitable?
I put this link in the art page but now it's here too!
