Hmm, this turned out not quite as good as I expected it to be.... I think there could be quite some more contrast. Still looks great though, dont get me wrong, just that the wips seemed to become a full out "WOUAUAHA... BEST ONE WITHOUT A DOUBT"-piece, wich it wasnt quite.

Its really cool, and well drawn, and I love those little touches you gave all of the characters. But it doesnt really "look great". if you know what I mean. Its all a bit bland (maybe the amount of different colours, maybe boring lightning)...

i thought that for a split second or two because the WIP colours were a bit brighter, but the more i looked at it the more i really came to appreciate the muted style, i think it'd be a good change for a month because everyone tends to use the same kind of intense colours that the NG cast is normally painted in, and this gives it alot more variety. i do agree with the thought on the tankman though, i think he looks especially flat compared to the rest of the crew.

i think any improvements i'd like to see on it, are making the highlights a bit hotter, just to bring out the shadows JUST A LITTLE - because i know it's supposed to be very muted and blurry, but i think something as simple as a soft dodge brush on the cast to the right side will really bring it together. its quite fantastic, and i really want to see it get in.

Nothing big of critism here, but since you asked for it...

(1)Saladfingers spoons aren't looking very rusty. (2)Also, the 2 madness guys on the right look pretty bright. When you compare them with their friends on the left and the tankman underneath them, they should probably be less bright, specificly their bodies. Though I'm not sure here. (3)I'm also not sure if alien hominid has a small ball attached to the end of his gun. Maybe make the outlining thicker there. (4)Strawberry clock's talking object thing looks slightly out of place; as if it belongs on the foreground.

Hopefully this was helpful. Honestly, I never noticed anything of this until I started looking for flaws. I bet your art will be on the calendar either way.

Ive been too busy and afk but heres what i started, maybe next year..

We will probably start the judging tomorrow (Sunday) around noon-ish ...at which time the thread will get locked. So, if you're still trying to finish, you just got yourself a few more hours.
