Heh yeah, me too. I'm not really obsessed anymore but I still like his flashes a lot.

I don't get why there are so few submissions this year. There were 5 or 6 pages last year. I'm liking what I see this year though, so even with the fewer submissions I definitely think we'll have a solid 12. I just hope its not too solid where mine gets bumped off. :D

Yeah, not sure if it's bad timing with people going back to school, or what (last years started at the end of sept, not the beginning).

There are a lot of great submissions so far... hopefully we'll get a flood of 'em after the weekend. If not... like I said... we'll just pick 5 winners and not have a calendar.

After drawing 6 different submissions. . . I finally ended up with one I liked.

Mastermind serious poster. Still need to colour and add some more details, BGs etc. . . Critique, advise, help on colour scheme much appreciated.

I also have the problem of. . . Getting the appropriate poster size. . . Flash doesn't allow it to go as large as the requirements ask, so I'm in a bit of a pickle. Could someone help me please?

Use 40% of the original size as your canvas. That's 1290x960. Just change the size of the entire drawing up to 250% when you're done.

I got fucked over by photoshop so many times while making this, I just decided to rush-finish it. Regardless, it seems satisfactory to what I would've wanted.

I don't think the expressions/faces are working out for me. The blue bear thing is meant to be determined/dutiful, and Reemus is taunting (but his face looks odd atm, and I cant pinpoint why).

The pic you posted to the art portal is def the wrong size. It's only 774x576, but that is the correct aspect ratio, so if you export it with width 3225 px it will work!

Yeah, last year we had six pages of submissions and we set the bar pretty high. This year we barely have two pages (so far), but DAMN!!! ...the CALIBER of the entries/WIP's I'm seeing is crazy impressive!! We've got some amazingly talented users here! Youz guize make me happy!! :D

And to the people that might be feeling discouraged and/or not up to par because of this... STOP IT!!! Just do what you feel... even if it isn't the most "accurately drawn" or "artistically perfect" piece, it just might be the most original, hilarious, creative, or different... and it might be EXACTLY what we're looking for!!!

As for an extension... MAYBE... POSSIBLY... a day or two, MAX, but we'll see how things look on Tuesday.

Maybe some castle/forest shilouettes there?

Also, you could add some scratches/stains/dents on the character's armour. I know you already have a texture, but small details work wonders in improving the overall look of an image and scratches here and there aren't very time-consuming to add either.

if the characters are on separate layers I would suggest tightening up the composition alil.

like make me kid knocking out the boss alil bigger and bring in all the other characters closer together.

kinda like give it a brawl feel, the fish eye lens look on the background would actually support it.

I finished mine. . . I would LOVE for some advise/critique (I've already posted it in the art thread of this contest).
