Reviews for "You Are The Victim"

I had fun with this, it was concise, but surprisingly fun.

There are no 2 sides to what is happening in Israel. Both sides were screwed over by the british promising them both the same land. But regardless , Palestinians today are in a prison and murdered everyday by strikes from Israel. What Israel fails to realize is that when you kill children, mothers, fathers, brothers, aunts and daughters, you are committing murder. The families and people of those murdered will want justice. Palestinians are wrong for these stabbings, but at the same time remember that they are being murdered by a country who does not even recognize them as human beings. A country that burns and destroys their houses to build their own new apartments. Israel has war planes, tanks and billions of dollars. Palestine has rocks and their faith. So tell me. Who is the real victim? AND remember the only reason there is an Israeli state today is because they killed more arabs to get the land.

This was a really good game and I'm glad I waited until the update to review. The only thing that really bugs me is that it's harder than it really needs to be to get the best ending as the AI seems to be a little too good at attacking me when off camera. I don't really understand the arrest mechanic as it doesn't seem to tie into how much life I have. It'd be nice to know the life of the AIs so you can get max glory without littering the ground with bodies. Still, I know that this was more about making a point than an awesome game and why I gave you 4/5 and 4.5/5. Great job!

Alon-Tzarafi responds:

Arrest is just an alternative to death. And they both require your life to be brought down.

It's possible to keep track of stabs and to not litter the ground with corpses. Overall there could be many tricks to abuse the system... But you don't really have to. You can win by playing like a brainless action game, you only have to be aware of the threat meter and the camera.

This game is fun, but it sort of seems to suggest that all Palestinians are knife-wielding psychopaths and all Israelites are innocent bystanders. I just wish you were a little more ambiguous with this game because now this game is just political commentary rather than a stand-alone product.

Alon-Tzarafi responds:

Well, in the game both sides are racist towards each other, which is (sadly) realistic.
The majority of the people are regular and not knife-wielding psychopaths however, the game was made in a time when attacks like these became a "hot trend" which (sadly) became a daily fact of life, claiming daily casualties.

the moral of this game is very good, the author criticizes what happens every day in some countries like Israel and Palestine
