This isn't a game. It's watching dice roll.
Whoever balanced this needs to get themselves checked. Of course there is an optimal strategy for winning, no matter where you start and what type of disease you start with. But even if you try to be smart about it, it's at best a flip of the coin if you can get Madagascar. Ship transmissions aren't the best to begin with, but given the fact that there's an isolated country that can ONLY be accessed by ship, it just becomes a randomness generator where it seems like you have so little determination in whether you can actually beat the game or not.
A lot of guides online even suggest that "If you don't start in Madagascar, you might as well restart the game", which makes it absolutely ridiculous and dumb for this to even exist. Why the fuck would anyone want to play something which determines IN THE BEGINNING if you're certainly almost always gonna lose if you don't get lucky. This is an unbalanced clunky piece of shit.
RIP to Flash, but losing Pandemic II is not a great lost.
