Reviews for "The Rise of a Knight"

Good times, but just a comment...

Disable holding down the attack buttons, if you hold down quick slash it just goes repeatedly and only the bosses can break it. Other than that very fun, nice work.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Thanks. I made the attacks like that on purpose because I wanted this game to be easy and very forgiving to the player, but some have complained that it is too easy. A very few have said it to be way too hard. So Im not sure, but I prefer it the way it is because I dont like button smashing. I prefer to just hold it in and spare my keyboard a few bruises :)

Im glad you liked it!

okay

Great game. But the villians AI wasnt very great. The graphics where cool

SeethingSwarm responds:

Thanks. Glad you liked.
Yeah regarding the A.I., well, my coding skills arent the best, but Im getting better.

Well.

Music was solid. Controls were suitable for the simplistic gameplay. The game was a bit repetitious but I didn't go into it expecting to be awed by incredible game complexity. There's a few points, however, where enemy placement seems a bit insane - the "horde of goblins" bit being a particularly tasty example. I couldn't figure out quite how to actually muck past them, since it was simple a massive cluster of spear, archer, and axe chucking goblins that kept me pinned down under incessant projectile rape until I gave up in annoyance.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Oh well, you need to have patience to figure their movements out. Use your shield, and use your power move very wisely. Fight with strategy and brains. Maybe you just didnt have the time or patience to do that. Im sorry for that. Glad you kinda liked it! Thanks for the review!

Well I l like it...

For the first part of the game, I just went through like a fucking lawnmower holding A, that worked awesome until the spider cave, then I had to use strategy... Sort of... After that it was pretty easy.

I like the game, but possibilities for improvement are that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE will absolutely orgasm over a game where you make money, go to a shop, buy better stuff that improves not only the damage and damage mitigation of your character, but also makes him look cooler. Also more engaging enemies, and throw in a few skills, and there you have it.

People like not feeling alone in games, NPCs in towns help to rectify this, and also the ability to hire mercenaries with various skills (Priest, Archer, etc.) makes the game not only more customizable, but much more fun.

Keep it up, I will be on the lookout for your next game should you implement these things. :D

SeethingSwarm responds:

Thanks for a great review!
You have some really good ideas and suggestions which I will keep in consideration for my next game. I am busy making a sequel for this game and will definitely keep your comments in mind. I dunno about mercenaries for hire though. I just dont know if my coding skills are good anough for that. I am still pretty new at making games.

okay

it wasnt the best game ive played alot better it was addicting and intrresting at first but then it was hard to keep playing ive seen lots better in my time but ill give you a 7/10 keep trying for that perfect 10

SeethingSwarm responds:
