Reviews for "The Rise of a Knight"

I must say..

The music is brilliant, and the fighting is hectic and fun, it's just a bit too boring. The cutscenes were very boring, I'd read all the text and then have to sit around and wait for the game to continue. The lack of a save feature was also pretty disappointing.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Im glad you liked the fighting. That's awesome :)
The reason why I made the cutscenes so slow was because I kept slow-readers in mind, but I should have made a button where you can skip not just the whole cutscene, but every part of it one by one as well.
Thanks for the review.

One big problem...

Way too repetitive.

SeethingSwarm responds:

I will keep that in mind for next projects in the future.
Thanks :)

not bad...

needs something here. a save function. and what's the use of jumping if you can't dodge projectiles anyway? that pisses me off. that's of course how i died. like the fact that you rengereate HP while running tho. add to sequel please.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Yeah, the jumping was a pain for me to make. I constantly had problems with the hitdetection and other coding nonsense, but I think I got it to work a bit better in the sequel. Dont want to add the regenerate health thing for the sequel, because now there's a shop that sells health potions that you can choose to drink whenever you want...

I did not have the programming skills to make a save feature for this game, sorry. I was still VERY new at making games when I made this one, and I still am.

Nice!

Quite an enjoyable romp. Pretty neat for an early attempt as you describe. The music was fitting and the story was strong. Great to see some actual decent storyline in there to support the action.
I found the controls nicely responsive but a touch limited in range (heck it IS just a flash game) and the difficulty was just about right. I'll save any further constructive criticism until I've played the sequel. On that note - I'm off the play the sequel! Thanks for the entertainment with this one - well done.

SeethingSwarm responds:

No problem, glad you liked it :)

Good

The graphics are great, but the gameplay could be better. Exemple: there could be combos, etc.
