- fixed incorrect room transition bug
- added option to disable autosave between floors
- added minor healing effect on checkpoints and after respawn at the floor entrance if player is low on health

It was a fun neat little throwback and I'd like to see where you take it in the extended edition.

Feedback: Pixel art is great, if you wanted to improve it maybe consider some alternate light sources/tile work and color schemes to differentiate between levels and rooms.

Gameplay wise: We all love progression, whether its starting with a wooden toy sword and proceeding to find the Master Sword or just simplistic feel good improved aesthetics to display your characters progress to correlate with your own improved skills at the game and its mechanics. Perhaps you could implement your own item progression of starting with a small wooden/rusty sword and proceeding to unlock weapons with greater range, or suits of armor where all it changes is the color of the character (maybe some easy to art frills and trim as well) that improves the max life of the character?

Music wise: Great catchy chip tune and effects, but variety is the spice of life.. perhaps short death music, scene change, etc would be in order in a fuller more complete version.

Glitch? wise: The hitbox on the first level mushrooms are a bit janky. The sword both hits them before the animation actually would, and the mushrooms (i let it hit me to test it;) hit you before it looks like they actually touch your character and you would suppose they would as well.

Aside from that nice work and I hope you continue future projects =]

Extended version will consist of different dungeons with unique looks and music themes. And of course there'll be much more items to collect (upgraded items included :D )

Great Visuals , great Music , but that gameplay...
I really hate this gameplay , because...
1: Healing is to expensiv and you don't get healed at savepoint
2: Not enought hitpoints and no shield after a hit
3: I think some rooms are to easy and some to hard
(3rd floor , these 4 flying laser monsters and 4 turrets)
4:No range attacks , really?
5:To fast respawing of enemys (especially after you died and you want to return to your old deathpoint)
6:Hint the way would be useful because some things should stay optional and I don't want to run throught all rooms...
7:QR Codes , rightknow optional but annyoing or don't even work
(More Opinion) I really like riddles around mechanics and not these visual puzzle like in point and click games , but it's okey , I just didn't knew that the solution is lying on my feet

I stoped playing at the 3rd floor when I tried to get the key behind the door of these 4 Turrets and 4 Laser Fly
(By the way , I don't use ground floor)

Thanks for the valuable feedback.
Checkpoint gives you a little heal if your health is very low (less than 1 and a half heart). And necklace that you can buy for 150 coins gives you a shield after being hit.
I'll consider rest of your states in the extended edition.

Let's start off with the bad. The medals didn't work. That's it. The rest of the game was a lot of fun. Great retro graphics that took me back to A Link to the Past. The game play wasn't that difficult. The boss might of been a tad on the easy side. The most difficult to be honest, was the room full of eyes and the lasers shooting around. Any way, great job, I hope to see more of this type of content. I think you could actually flesh this out in to a full fledged game. Keep up the great work.

Thanks! I'm very glad that you enjoyed playing my game! I'm definitely going to make an extended version of Knightin' with better balance, different dungeons and more content overall.
As for the medals: I noticed that you've actually unlocked 4 of them already. There is one advice I can give: Newgrounds API might not work correctly under AdBlock. Try to temporarily disable it (if you use one of course) and then try to unlock 2 medals that you're missing.

This game was fun to play. The pixel art looks great. The music is good. Overall a great game.
