Aground was designed around the theme of Progression, and inspired by Utopian Mining and other mining/crafting games. You start out with almost nothing, and you can eventually build your way up to a thriving settlement.
Currently, you can only explore and build on the first few islands, but we have lots of plans for expansion, and the sky is literally not the limit. We’re continuing updates in Early Access ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/876650/Aground/ ) as we add more content and the first spaceship!
We're planning to continue developing Aground based on feedback and suggestions from players, so definitely send me a message or post in our subreddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/aground/ ) or discord ( https://discord.gg/69Jj6MB ) to determine the course of this game.
Controls are explained in game, and it can be played with keyboard or gamepad. The mouse can also be used to navigate menus (but is not required).

how do you feel about chicken nuggets
For some reason, I'm having trouble raising the dragons after befriending the large one, whom I have named Ben-Logi. Is this not part of the demo here?
Fun game, btw. I've done a few playthroughs, going either east or west.
You can raise dragons even if you befriend the large one - simply place a baby dragon in the dragon cave (you should know how to raise baby dragons if you befriended the large dragon), and then you'll have options to evolve it into a young dragon and adult dragon. It does require a fire gem, but you learn how to create those as part of the questlines on the first magic island (to the east), which is also in the demo.
How do I put the wyrm or cocoons in the cages? I am fairly sure that the "wyrm pen" is actually the "cage". I see no way to achieve this.
Select the wyrm pen, and then select one of the slots in the wyrm pen to choose a wyrm or cocoon into the cage (it works just like farms).
