This game is very cool and a great retro experience in itself, albeit the difficulty spikes are certain to repel many players. To be effective and progress far requires a lot of patience, perfect aim AND a good amount of luck as well. So far I've unlocked 24 medals ; you have no idea how many hours I've spent to meet the required conditions. On the positive side, the aim of the bow is quick and fluid. Your character cannot move, block or dodge anything but he also cannot die instantly. However Aegir can block at will and cast all sorts of magic spells to make your life miserable. Yeah I get it, he's a god. The only real negative thing I found to have handicapped many of my games is the little angel carrying the runes. If you manage to get all 5 different runes you'll get the chance to obtain extra points or an extra life. Unfortunately he likes to play dirty, flying all over the place very erratically and moving the runes over his head or under himself at any given moment. To make matters worse, he often gets in the way of your arrows. If I could shoot right through him I wouldn't even mention it, but it turns out that the little trickster is unkillable. You can shoot through 2 or 3 hydras at a time no problem ( even thought they are way bigger than the angel), but if the angel spawns right when you were aiming at a boat, too bad, your arrow won't connect and this will often cause you to lose a life. Everything else is fair, I know that if I win or lose it will be only because of my aim and my decisions. Overall, I like this game and the medals definitely are an incentive to keep me coming back again and again.
